7. Keep repeating that.
I think there are one or two threads you've not posted that statement into yet... :eyes:

2. Imagine if Gore had chosen Clark.
Clark would have gotten a huge boost.

3. I'm tending to agree
Unlike 2000 when BOTH parties needed to do primaries, this year the GOP has the great advantage of running no one against Bush. The Democrats need to consolidate on to someone ASAP. Although Dean isn't my #1 preference, it's the best strategy.

(And long term, we need to revise this idiotic, semi-undemocratic Presidential primary system! - my vote in Washington in meaningless!)

5. Not to denigrate the move but it could be shopping for a plum or two
Trying to stay near the top of the Party.

Look for the Hill and Bill to do the same.

On the bright side, thats Ed Zackery what they supposed to do, look for the strongest candidate and ride herd together. If I was the rest of the Gang, jump on the bandwagon time, present a united front.

Its common sense to join forces.

6. It's a long time between now and the primaries. So much can happen
between now and then.
