Mr. Janklow, I've got great news!
I just saved a bundle of money on my auto insurance!

(You're ficked.)

(Also, I invested in a soap-on-the-rope company!)

5. Anybody know if the prick is probation-eligible?
He has to do time for killing another human, IMHO. Many states allow manslaughter to be a "probational" offense.

9. The manslaughter conviction has a max of 10 years.
Sentencing is in January...

10. It's probably probational then.
Look for a tear-fest at sentencing.

14. But there is no mandatory minimum sentence either.
At least that's what they're reporting on the local Sioux Falls, SD news channels.
So Janklow may never spend one night in jail. However that doesn't change the fact that he is now officially, a convicted felon. Hum, can a convicted felon vote in South Dakota? One less repub on the rolls is a good thing ;-)

11. I'm wondering if Rove will have Bush pardon him.
Or does he have to be sentenced first?

12. Which reminds me of a joke (Beware: harsh prison language used)
Janklow is in prison on his first night there. His cell-mate is a huge Biker ironically named "Tiny." Tiny sidles up to Janklow and tells him that they are going to get "married" that night, and that Janklow should choose whether he wants to be the "husband" or the "wife." Janklow, being a smart Republican, tells Tiny that he really doesn't want to be married, but that if forced to choose he would rather be the husband. Tiny then says: "Great, now come over here and suck your wife's dick."
(I didn't say it was a FUNNY joke).

13. as a SD democrat...
i can see im happy to finially get whats coming to him, mabye he shoulda spent a bit more on the schools than the prisons huh... lol, guess he gets to survey first hand what he created, but part of me feels sorry for him, he is responsible for putting alot of people in there, he isnt going to have it easy in there. then again, he volunteered for it when he sped through the stop sign and used the phantom car excuse again.

enjoy your stay mr janklow, its not gonna be no 5 star hotel
