"we're in a world of trouble" says Sy Hersh on Charlie Rose...
Interesting conversation over current situation in Iraq w/dude from Time, Wash Post (now gone), and Sy Hersh.

Sy says we are going to more active w/special forces going after the "insurgents", he called that # of 5,000 "mythical".

Also not to count out the neo-cons really wanting to at least pursue Syria.

His stuff is always fascinating....

1. I think the neocons have just begun.
Even if the Dems win the election next year, they'll be forced to carry out this insane agenda thrust upon them. I'm really kind of surprised we
can find a candidate to run this year. Bush is going to have everything
so fucked up for the next President that he'll spend the entire term doing damage control.

3. Yeah, there's that, too.
This campaign has been kind of nasty but it's nothing compared to the
hell our guy is going to go through if he's elected. All these men and
women running are brave people. If I were a religious man, I'd pray for
them.

4. Is there any chance of the Dems regaining Congress?
From what I've heard of redistricting, it would be a miracle. Am I being pessimistic?

5. I say yes -- Dems can win House and Senate
And I think they will. Lots more is gonna emerge about BushCo. and its nefarious dealings. Of that I feel certain. But I am buckling my seat belt for a bumpy ride.
