I am a Dean supporter. It is clear that everyone has lost sight of the fact that not one person has yet cast a vote for Howard Dean. Regardless of polls, I think it is impossible to guage the real depth of his support.

With all the sky high expectations, he may be just one stumble away from
one of the biggest bubble bursts in political history.

So, all the anti-Dean folks should put the pitcher of Kool-Aid back in the fridge till at least Feburary.

Yes, there have not been any votes made yet for any of the candidates. No one has won any delegates. More Deanies should appreciate this fact, and stop with the "Dean is inevitable" propaganda. It ain't true, no matter how many times it's said or how much wishful thinking is behind it.

It'll be tough esp. when Dean heads down South, BUT, I think all the Dean-nial and calling the race over is really turning a lot of future supporters off. If the Gore endorsement would have swayed many non-Dean DUers over, surely the tone of the Dean gloating turned just as many people here on DU off to your candidate.

Dean people like you need to get some of your folks in line!

Calm down people. There is a long way to go. I do think that Dean Is by far the leader, but what if a race emerges as the other guys drop out? Take Clark for example. What if its Dean vs. Clark after Joe, Gep, Kerry, and Edwards drop out? Where would the support of those guys go?

8. a few quibbles

Dean and other candidates already have some delegates. All the Congresspeople who have endorsed people are in fact delegates. And Dean has gotten votes in the Move On primary. But this is far from over and Dean hasn't won a single state.
