Did this story not get posted about Dean's records?

MONTPELIER, Vermont (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean said Sunday he will let a judge determine which of his sealed records from Dean's years as Vermont's governor should be made public.

Speaking on "Fox News Sunday," Dean said he has decided to use a lawsuit by the government watchdog group Judicial Watch, suing to open the records, as a mechanism to determine which records should be released and which should be kept sealed.

"What we think the best thing to do is to let the judge go through every single document and decide for himself what ought to be revealed and what not to be revealed," Dean said.

To all of those who have been posting ad nauseum about this, whassup? Lemme guess. People who don't like Dean will say things bad about Dean, and people who do like Dean will defend him. Do I win?

3. Well, not completely
I am a staunch Dean supporter, but this doesn't look impressive.

The whole point of the lawsuit is not to decide on a document-by-document basis, but whether executive privilege trumps the public's right to access.

If he keeps them sealed he's going to have to come up with a much better reason than "Bush did it so I can do it", which is what is implied in "If he opens his, I'll open mine."

6. He's not governor anymore
I really don't know. But I think he;s going about it the right way, letting an impartial party decide what should be public and what shouldn't. Do we really think that EVERY record is absolutely necessary, no matter what kind of invasion of privacy i tmight be?

7. Judge will decide, he is not even hiring a lawyer to fight Judicial Watch.
But that does not matter, does it?
