I have never seen such a non issue pursued so viligantily by so few in my political career, which has been short. But this is such a non issue and nobody cared about it---it made news for a day, and even then was not a big deal.
But the Freeps will not give it up. They call it treason.

...that started an online petition calling for a ethics investigation into the source of the memo and asking that anyone associated with the memo be expelled from the Senate. He predicted 100,000 signatures for his online petition in one week. So far he's got roughly 1800 signatures in 3 weeks. Looks like 'MemoGate' has fizzled out.

7. So a nothing memo gets you expelled from the senate but

a $100k bribe & threats if you don't take it, in the house, is no big whup. I mean it's like saying murder is no big deal but getting a parking ticket is grounds for death row!

The traitors who outed a valuable senior CIA operative leading the war on terror. Talk about putting politics before national security. This admin has proven over and over again that it does things strictly for political purposes, including and especially the failed war in Iraq.

5. I was going to mention the Wilson-Plame Affair, too.

This cannot be forgotten. The distorted idea of what a scandal is supposed to be, i.e. "memogate", should be seen as a cancer among Republican supporters. I read the memos in their glory (which I doubt many of the freepers have), and although they are embarrassing, it was nothing more than politicians being political. Anyone (regardless of party or level of brain damage) who is up in arms over the memos, would necessarily have to be outraged to the verge of violence over what a "senior administration official" did to the Wilson family.

To all lurking freepers: you are a danger to this Republic, because you claim to have pride in the freedom it offers, yet you cannot feel the flag being burned beneath your feet.

What a bunch of crap! It's not enough for them to just lie a little they have to go completely over the top! Everytime they talk about something dem's did it's a "major" scandel at the highest levels. I mean listening to this idiot you'd think the memos were evidence of a plot to overthrough the govt via a violent coup and then commit genocide on all who disagree w/ dem's!! This clown acts like whoever wrote the memos will be facing the death penalty! Gees! The links they will go to get what they want is astounding! Uh oh, Tom Dashcle just arrived on the senate floor wearing a new suit. Outrage! We'll need a special counsel, an investigation by the DOJ, full congressional hearings, probably should get the FBI & IRS involved too! And until we find out just how Mr. Dashcle obtained this new suit, most likely through a lobbyist or stolen, he'll be suspended from the senate. We also alerted the Dept of Homeland Security and we're discussing w/ the pres about elevating the threat level do to Mr. Dashcle's actions!!!
