'take America back on behalf of the people of this country.'
What do those words mean? They show an understanding that the people no longer control their destiny. They show a determination to take back this control. They show someone that is aware of the present political condition of this country.

Those were the words of Al Gore in his endorsement of Howard Dean. The motivating factor in his endorsement was the fact that Dean has garnered "grassroots" support that no other candidate has done, although Clark may have that capacity. No matter who we support, we cannot deny that Dean has awakened a large portion of our grassroots. The Democratic Party needs that since we are the Party of the people - not the government of Big Business. We can only hope that Dean will govern with the people's wishes once he is elected...and the Democratic nominee will be elected.

4. Your trying to suppress our votes
We won't give up. No matter how you want to spin it. We are backing our candidate until he wins or steps out of the race. Get over it.

3. The thread is really about people taking back their country...
not really about Gore's endorsement...

5. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of people in the Draft Clark...
Movement, were heartland folks from the South, Midwest, and Southwest. So do we do, rally behind a candidate before those people who were involved with a truely grass-roots draft movement even vote. I don't think so. Trying to take away the democratic process from moderate democratics will only serve to galvanize a silent majority within this party.
