Suggestion: December 12th - Unity Day
Taken from this post http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=108&topic_id=98354#98359

I like the idea. We need to 'honor' the day in which we had our democracy taken away. We must never forget that a coup in this country is possible if we are not vigilant - and that is the price of liberty, eternal vigilance.

So what can we do to demonstrate Democratic Unity? Wear a color, a ribbon, a button with a donkey on it... what do you suggest?

1. I think it's a great idea; I'm all for some recognition of that day...
I think the Donkey waving the flag would convey my feelings pretty well...maybe the Donkey should have a black armband, to mourn the death of democracy (briefly!) in 2000; the flag would be our mission to revive it??
Is that cornball???
