so who will win in San Fran?
is it looking like the green or the democrat? I am actually hoping for the green. Is it too close to call?

I don't live in CA, but I would still like for the Greens to show what they can do if they are in power

8. Newsom will win
I just think he will.

He had over 42% in the first race. Assuming turnout holds, he only needs to get 8% of the other 58% percent or 1 of 7 or 8 voters.

It probably gets better for him in terms of turnout, which is typically better for conservatives in the December runoff.

Also, I think the big developer siding with Gonzalez is getting a lot of play in the city among people who vote. A bunch of people who might have voted for Gonzalez are scared of the prospect (fair or not) that Gonzalez will open the doors to highrise/high density development in neighborhoods outside of downtown.

My 2 cents. I live outside the city anyway, but grew up there and work there. The old neighborhoods still choose the mayoral runoff.
