3. Al Sharpton does, but

Confidence, authority and command are not usually accepted as deposits at most banks.

6. I agree with you. Kucinich has the right ideas and message like Al
but the delivery of DK needs to be worked on. But I love him just the same!

5. Kerry kicked butt tonight. Clark's quiet strength shone, Edwards' passion
DK - fabulous. Sharpton - on the money. Carol - as always.

Makes Gore look a little foolish. We have got a great field. Let them play!

14. Clark and Kerry(on defense, but I think only Clark can win this nomination
Edited on Tue Dec-09-03 09:24 PM by Bombtrack
Until something big changes. Clark has caught on in the polls in states like CA, AZ, and SC that Kerry hasn't, and in all liklihood won't.

If I had it my way, those 2 and Edwards would be the last one's standing, however now the right is hoping(and helping)to use Kerry to stifle Clark from a strong placement in NH, and Edwards to stop Clark from winning SC.

That's just reality. I love Edwards and I think he has the BEST ideas and platform for this country. And it absolutely kills me to not stand by him. But we cannot allow the GOP to get their dream candidate in Howard Dean, and Wes Clark is the democratic parties strongest soldier in that struggle as of now.

24. I'm with you...
I really like Edwards a lot. I think he's coming from the right place, talking about corporations squeezing the little people. I think he's honest and I forgive him his obvious ambition. But I knew that 6 years ago when I voted for him in the NC senate race.

Kerry looked better than he has in a while, but he's still not there and he's not going to be there. Not gonna happen for Kerry. There's no there there.

Dean looked better than he has recently. I liked when he brought the debate back to domestic issues 12 minutes before the end. Bush is desperately vulnerable on domestic issues. But Dean is like a babe in the woods on international stuff and it shows. And Gore or no Gore, Dean is going to drop like a rock in the West and South.

It kills me, too, not to go with Edwards, but it ain't happenin'. Clark is the guy to go with. I just wish he'd lay off Iraq a little and go with his domestic stuff, which is quite good. And which he does understand. I can see him walking the Democratic Party right back down the middle where we need to be and picking up Independents and Republicans on the way.

I also gained a lot of respect for Lieberman tonight. You just know he's fuming. Gore blew the last one and he'll blow this one if he's given the chance. Dean is good, but he ain't the one.

if it weren't for him they would have kept talking about Iraq, after wasting the first 45 mins on BS trivia questions...

Kerry does have a certain stature, but to me it seems like over-confidence.

I think that Dean and Clark both have a good measure of self-confidence. Not over-confident and out of touch, but not insecure either.

remember one of them is command of the issues, not command of army guys. he couldn't even remember how he was going to pay for AIDS (out of repeal of tax cuts) and went loopy talking about colors.

may want to reconsider that answer.

31. Ya know, I think Kerry has been fabulous in speeches and debates.
In terms of both content and delivery and wit.
(And he has a great voice.)

But he betrayed us back when he voted to let BushCo invade a country for obviously transparent and bogus reasons. I don't buy his explanation that he "trusted" the very man who had stolen the white house to do the right thing. And if he did trust that man then I think it demonstrates horrible judgment. Maybe I'm finicky, but I'd rather have a president with good judgment.

And whether he was technically fooled into the vote, or just exercised hideous judgment, it's moot.
Either way it doesn't bring back the many many many dead soldiers and Iraqis. It doesn't restore the health of injured survivors. John Kerry betrayed them; he betrayed us. And I don't care if it was due to gullibility or bad judgment.

He betrayed the US when he voted for the patriot act.
He betrayed the world when he voted to attack Iraq.
He used his position of leadership and clout and power to betray.

But he talks real good and has a really nice voice.

33. Clark of course
This infantile system that we have to choose our president...the leader of the free world...is patently absurd...BUT...

Clark can think, he has judgement, he can analyse and prioritize. He is clearly the one ...as Kris says...to lead us out of darkness.

By far the most competent candidate...if the least experience in idiocy.
