Joe Lieberman does not deserve a "Daily Democrat" thread
he is a disgrace to the Democratic party and does a disservice to us every time he opens his mouth.

1. Awwwwww, c'mon!
The fairness doctrine states that we must give that man equal time!

Oh wait, there is no fairness doctrine. Never mind.

18. Only someone on the "far left fringe" would believe that
No real Democrat -- and, for that matter, no real Republican -- would claim that Lieberman is a Republican.

7. That is not right
I am watching the New Hampshire debate right now. Lieberman is making some good points and acquitting himself admirably. He has good liberal credentials on many levels. He truly believed that the Iraq war was the right thing to do and as adamantly as I disagree, he does defend his position and I respect that. He is probably my last choice. But, Lieberman deserves a Daily Democrat as long as he is a candidate.

Fair is fair, and both are Dems by Name!!!

Not that I'm supporting LaRouche in the least, but come on, neither is a Dem really...

turning aids patients in and registering them.

16. Yeah, well Lieberman supported the killing of thousands of innocent Iraqis
I wouldn't call that a progressive attitude, it's just plain evil.

a strong history advocating as a liberal democrat for the people of Connecticut.

Let's not become as limited in our viewpoints as Freepers. Yeah, we're pissed at Lieberman's actions, (for good reason), but he is still deserving of a complex look at what he brings to the job.

12. I'm glad you're not a mod pruner. They all deserve a thread.
I may dispise one of them (who shall remain nameless but initials are HJ), but I applaud the DU mods for giving each candidate a Daily Dem thread.

I am glad that he received a Daily Democrat thread. I even learned a few new things about Lieberman that were unknown to me.

21. When I finally got back from teaching and was able to listen
to the re-airing of the debate, I came to an awful conclusion. Please find a transcript and you'll see what I mean.

He is the source/reason of the current media lie about the "Gore/Clinton split."

Look at the first part of the transcript. That's all I ask.

22. Lieberman has many years of public service
under his belt. He does his best to do his job, in accordance with his views. I've never heard any aspersions about his character. There are very few politicians like that. He's paid his dues. He deserves the respect of everyone in the country, and certainly any Democratic website. (BTW, I'm a Clark supporter, not a Lieberman supporter.)

He is deserving of the same rights as the other candidates on this message board. Let his supporters make their case, I think the truth will find its way out of the debate. I think exclusion is the worst thing the party or this boards needs right now. (2000 debates come into mind for one)

24. And why not?
I thought all one needed to qualify is to be an announced Democratic candidate who particpates in the debates.

Lieberman is that. He may be near the bottom of my preference list, too, but my approval isn't what matters.

25. I can't figure out why
"Joe the Jester" gets so much time here at the DU!!! Has anyone besides me noticed all the threads attributed to him? He's a HOT SHOT here. My God, this guy rates as a personality+.

I'll admit that almost all the comments he gets around here are negative ones, but still. What about Gephart? I've never seen a thread devoted to just him. It's not fair to the others.
