Statement of Governor Dean on the Death of Senator Paul Simon
DURHAM--Governor Dean issued the following statement in response to the death of former U.S. Senator Paul Simon:

"The country lost a great public servant today. Paul Simon's career was marked by a dedication to honesty and integrity, and he was a tireless champion of the least fortunate members of our society.

"My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time."
