That's pushing it...I love the guy, but there's no way he'd stay neutral.

13. Yes! Bill Moyers and Helen Thomas! The best possible choices.
So far the mods have all been nothing but media whores.

I won't hold my breath that they'll have real journalists though.

Do they ever have print journalists as mods?

Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 12:30 AM by hlthe2b
For sheer entertainment value, Jon Stewart.

As an absolute provocateur, Ralph Nader

Two other possibilities: Molly Ivins and/ or Ann Richards, perhaps with a tag teaming Helen Thomas.

27. Moyers or Clinton:
At this point are about the only one's who can stay neutral. The best moderator of the season: Sen. Hillary Clinton at the Iowa Jefferson/Jackson dinner. Says a lot about the sad state of the media. Ted's question were way out of line today. The moderator should ask questions, not debate the candidates (as Ted did, and tried to do on several occassions). I was hoping Kerry would say "Ted, you fucked up," at the end of it.

It might increase viewership.

But I'd vote for Jon Stewart. Or Bill Moyers.

And ... I know he's been battling bipolar disorder ... but I think Dick Cavett would be just the ticket.

Is Michael Dukakis busy?

How about Rob Reiner?

WARREN BEATTY!!! Now THAT would be interesting.

I really thought that he gave one of the best speeches of the 2000 political campaign. Seems like he has dropped off the political map for this coming election. Anyone know whether he has endorsed a candidate or spoken out on the election yet?

I'll get rid of the stupid one minute rule, and I would try to run it as the Iowa candidate forums were. Give the candidate a chance to expound on their views, and get away from the shameful performance by the likes of Judy Woodruff and Ted Koppel.
