MSNBC just now on debate ....
Dean won, Kerry lost the debate. Kucinich had thumbs up and all the others had thumbs down.

Funny, many here said Kerry did real well last night. More Frank Luntzism from MSNBC?

5. I'm in 100% agreement.
They were all great. I have my nitpicks, but I'll save them for elsewhere.

2. This debate was Kerry's last chance
to win the heart-and-minds of the Dem base. Kerry should have been the one to run with the "Look-How-The-Media-Handles-Debate" instead of Kucinich.

To bad. After reading WRP peice on "The Trail Of Kerry" I was willing to reconsider Kerry.

7. MBTE
I thought Kerry did great by mentioning MBTE. That alone is reason for thumbs up. Both Kucinich and Kerry get my thumbs up for last night. The rest I felt were mostly a bore. I did like Mosley Braun giving late Senator Simon his deserved props and kinda liked Dean's defense of Gore although I was bummed about endorsement. Gephardt, Edwards, Lieberman did nothing to distinguish themselves last night that I noticed. I would have thought Edwards might have shined more but the format just didn't allow it and he didn't really take control for a moment like Kucinich or Kerry did. Al's closing joke was spot on as always. Clark continues to be smoother than Dean. Just my impressions.

3. Thumbs down?!
I honestly do not think any one of the candidates deserved a "thumbs down." I thought they ALL (particularly Kerry and Dennis) performed wonderfully, especially considering the stupid questions they were given. I don't get this.

8. Huh?
Dean did OK, he's done better, he did not win. Kerry did not lose. Kucinich did great, as he usually does.

They gave Clark a thumbs down? Edwards? Carol Moseley Braun?

What fucking debate were they watching? I thought it was the most evenly-split one they've had yet.

9. I do not think Dean won the debate or that Kerry lost it.
I thought Kerry did a great job (as usual). While he's not my first choice I think he would make an EXCELLENT president.

10. Republican Polster Luntz has been boosting Dean for Months

Republican Polster Frank Luntz is well known for predicting a Dean nomination and a Bush landslide.

11. The media granting Dean teflon all these months had made Dean supporters
certain that Dean is invincible.
