White House press briefing on CBC, not CNN
So it's a bad day for Scott McClellan and the crowd, trying to explain to a reluctant press corps why "national security interests" are behind the decision to shut countries out of Iraq bidding. He's facing a hostile set of questions today.

But we aren't seeing any of this on CNN, where they've got talking heads instead. I'm having to watch my government function, live, on CBC Newsworld.

What the heck has happened to our country?

4. Canada did not attack Iraq but contributed $300 million to rebuild Iraq!
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 01:14 PM by glarius
Canada is being painted as not participating in the "war on terrorism" in any manner simply because we did not join the war on Iraq (which I agree with)...We have the largest contingent of allied troops in Afghanistan and we contributed $300 million to the rebuilding effort in Iraq....Surely CNN must be aware of this and yet they keep lumping us in with non participants....Are we being built up as an enemy of the U.S.A or what????....It's getting scary!

edit--I just saw Cynthia Tucker, Editorial Page Editor, Atlanta Journal Constitution on CNN, who seemed unaware of Canada's contribution also.....It's really pathetic!
