A picture that would've been worth a thousand words
If I had one of those newfangled cell phone cameras, it'd be up here, believe me.

Two homeless people were sacked out in a Honolulu bus shelter this morning. In and of itself, sad to say, this is nothing unusual.

The bus shelter in question, however, is in front of the Federal Building.

Oh, the possibilities for captions!

"Thanks for nothing, Bush*!"

"The chickens have come home to roost."

"The Bush* economic recovery continues apace."

"Prince Jonah Kalanianaole Federal Building, the home of compassionate conservatism since January 2001."

Feel free to add your own...

1. Geez, save yourself a few bucks over the long run and get a disposable
it's not like you can't get one anywhere in Honolulu.

Even if it's for one picture, and you get the one hour developing with digital prints, you're going to save a lot of money over the long run.

(I am quite possibly the last person in the USA who doesn't have a cell phone.)

3. It would've been tough to whip out the disposable from inside the bus
which was where I saw the gruesome scene.

And, you are only the last person in the continental USA who doesn't have a cell!

2. Here in southwestern Virginia . . .
as I'm driving to and from work I sometimes see a homeless man pushing a shopping cart. He's scruffy and the cart is filled with all of his dirty posessions. What always catches my eye is the medium sized American flag on a stick that he has tied to the shopping cart. He's an American too, and his show of pride in his country is quite a contrast to the huge SUVs with the car-flags that speed past him. I don't know if he really is proud of his country now or he's mentally ill.

5. Increasingly, cell phones with cameras are being conviscated
at health clubs, court rooms, certain businesses and other places you'd never imagine. I think that is only going to increase. Buy a separate digital camera if you want (they even have cheap disposables) , but I would think twice about a cell phone with camera if all you really need is the cell phone...

6. Call the Print Media Hochi Times?? Star Bulletin? Advertiser?
WW Press? Mynah Mattahs? Wailili Beach Express?

One of them would send a camera man.
