Why was my thread locked re: the need to call ChimpCo on the draft?

I don't get it! I love DU - but this type of censorship seems outrageous! I've got like two zillion posts under my belt here - I think I've made some valuble contributions over the past couple of years - and I think the DU is hugely important (Bob Graham's bill regarding BBV is a fantastic example) - but I am VERY DISCOURAGED by this type of action. I think that little thread I just started was making a very valid point (and was doing so without any Dem candidate bashing, I might add) - and it's locked because I've committed the crime of including an exclamation point at the end? WTF?!

I don't know how many people around here still know me - (I've not been able to be as active lately) but doesn't this strike anyone else as nitpicking to the point of approaching being...(dare I say it?) fascist? Are you telling me that if Will Pitt (whom I happen to greatly admire) throws an exclamation point on that you lock up his thread - even if it had made some incredible revelation? Holy smokes, folks, I'm baffled - and at this point, I am NOT inspired to make another post! I hate to sound like such a whiner, but I do care a lot about the DU community, which I feel at home in - and this pisses me off!
