Dude, Where are our morals?
I just got an email from a friend of mine. He is going to graduate school and is a huge environmentalist. He hates Bush. He is a memeber of the Green party and gets about 10 emails a day from them and are really depressed.

On to the point. He told me that people have a short attention span and that they don't care about conduct. He cited the gropenator as an example. He said that Bush is a clusterfuck of everything that is wrong and people don't see it. He cited, pre-911 intelligence, the illegal 2000 election and his lies in Iraq. He says we have a lot of work to do before next November. Can it be done by then? Can it be done ever? Will we ever get this regime out?

It could even be "under the media radar" if possible. Call a truce and let's fight the real enemy. We are in as bad a predicament as the Iraqis who also need to form a new government.

Well, I think it has become "necessary"
A certain number of positions to Greens in the new government and at least two planks in the party platform. Let's deal! Before it's too late.

If the Democratic party wants an alliance with Greens, there is only one obvious choice. The only candidate that would do is Kucinich and I don't think that will be allowed. It's a shame; they risk the huge numbers of people who are anti-globalization and privatization as well as pro-peace instead of anti-Iraq-war. There's a gigantic divide betweeen Kucinich and the "front-runners" too large to expect any significant swing from the left side. They will have to do their DLC thing and go pandering to the mid-right again unless they choose the candidate that welcomes Ralph Nader.

It would be a beautiful thing to behold, all the liberally minded people telling the Coulters, Limbaughs, Falwells, et al to shut the f*ck up once and for all!

3. Most of all we need
intelligent concerned individuals working for verifiable voter ballots and serving as precinct judges and poll workers. I suggest your friend get involved with the issue of Voter Confidence and lay off the personality/news schlock as much as possible until they feel a bit restored. We all know BiffCo is going to keep f-ing it all up, the question is what are we gonna do about it. Distracted and downhearted is what they want.

You can send a teaser e-mail to non-voters in the Get Involved/ Spread The Love section. Please encourage new voters to enroll in the Class of '04 where we will commemorate their vote in 2004 and hope to give them a voice through polling next year.

6. I think we need a populist presidential campaign . . .
people KNOW that corporations are in control of everything, and they KNOW that the Bush administration and corporate America are like Siamese twins . . . a very strong case can, and should, be made that we, the PEOPLE, need to take back our country from the multinational corporations . . . the case can be built on policy, but more importantly on MONEY, which is what people REALLY understand . . . just where their money is going, and in what quantities, has to be explained to them over and over and over again . . . it's going to Halliburton, and to Bechtel, and to HMOs, and to pharmeceutical companies, and to energy conglomerates, and to the Carlyle Group, and to a host of other "special interests" that do not have the best interests of the American people at heart . . . Kucinich, Dean, Sharpton, and Edwards are making noises in this direction, but I think the convention should create a very explicity populist platform and run hard on it . . . yeah, we'll be accused of engaging in "class warfare," but it will be easy to prove that the class warfare is already taking place, and was initiated by BushCo . . .
