Where can Dean serve in Clark's cabinet?
Just curious if Dean would accept a cabinet position? I wouldn't put him in as Secretary of State or Defense for obvious reasons. Where is his niche exactly?

5. The war on terror
sounds like more of a job for the Secretary of Blind, Unfocused Rage.

I am accepting applications.

I'm a Clarkie (like THAT surprises anyone who's been paying attention), but I was thinking while watching the debate last night what a talented group of individuals we have running for the Presidency. You really could build one hell of a cabinet out of the group.
John
If Clark doesn't win (I say he will), he'd be a natch for Secretary of State.
ON EDIT: Secretary of Apoplectic Rage -- now, THAT was funny.

11. He should take over for Terry McAuliffe
who will step down Feb. 4...

Assuming Dean doesn't get the nomination, he'd be great at getting people to donate. He and Trippi.

Really, I hope all the candidates will take an active role in support of the nominee.

CMB for Press Secretary!

14. HHS, not HEW -- right
God, I really do think Lyndon Johnson's still President. Maybe it's the stupid, pointless foreign war...

Or maybe it's that I spent the eighties as a pharmaceutical test sled.

17. Nowhere
I can see Dean being given a leadership position within the DNC.

But he is not qualified to be seceratary of state or defense

State should be Fareed Zakaria

18. I doubt that Dean would serve in the cabinet
My bet is that he'd run for the Senate in 2006 for the Jeffords seat (if he retires).

24. Based on what?
I don't see Dean being asked to serve in a Clark administration, and I don't see him accepting an offer in the first place.

Other than being a doctor, what credentials does he have? Plenty of much better docs around to ask. Governor of Vermont? Plenty of ex governors around from bigger states (well, maybe not Grey Davis) available?

Dean has to be President, or he has to stay home.
