Disclaimer: I back Clark 100%, but I like Dean. This is not flame bait, but an honest observation and opinion. I really think it would be awesome if Dean had a position like Dem Leader in the House, or Senate. Part of our party's recent problems have been the pathetic leadership in Congress. Imagine Dean leading the charge in the House? The Repugs wouldn't screw with us. I like Pelosi, but Dean would be much better. Our Congressional leadership needs to take a stand to the NONSTOP barrage of horrible legislation from the Repugs. I don't think he is presidential, and that job does not best use his talents. ANyways, just my opinion. Since he launced his campaign, I've always thought he would be the perfect House Leader. No more Gephardts, no more Daschles...

Personally there's already a candiate in the house, and if you want leadership, I think Dennis Kucinich though I would love him in the white house although its gonna be hard to happen, would make a great house leader.

4. I don't know how you'd best Pelosi in the Medicare bill votes

She held the Democrats together until Bush twisted enough Republican arms to get them to finally vote for the bill and they had a majority.

There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that we don't see but I tell you, I really took note of her accomplishments with the Medicare bill vote.

And, the Majority Leader is elected by the other representatives from that party. Do you think a majority of Democratic representatives would vote for Dean. Maybe, maybe not.

...that was quite a feat. I still think Dean would be a natural as House Leader, and yes, I don't think he would have much of a problem getting the votes from the reps..

Well I doubt that most people are going to believe that your comments are not flame bait. I on the other hand believe you and agree with you some what. I think that all of the candidates are "presidential" but I agree that it would be a shame if we can't find a way to get all of these very qualified individuals a solid position in the next administration. I will vote for Kucinich in the primary, but will solidly support whoever wins the primary

...many on DU are HYPERSENSITIVE, and that applies to supporters for all of the candidates. Dean would be a GREAT House Leader. :-)

9. I agree that we do need some house cleaning.

First we need to get the Republican representatives out of many of the House of Representative seats that should be Democratic. Then we need to get rid of the Democratic Senators and Reps, who have gotten too comfortable making deals accross the aisle. I have nothing against compromise, but what has been going on is buying and selling of votes with a result of the selling out of the ordinary American. This Medicare sell out is the latest outrage. This insider's club needs to be busted up.

We need a Newt like presence (without the Nazi factor, obviously), some one who has a bulldog like attack on the issues that can put it in sound bites for the Faux News fans.

I think that he would succeed there. Is that so insulting? People need to stop living through their candidates. If Dean loses the nomination, that doesn't mean his supporters are losers. I swear, the political junkies are worse than football fans. If Dean was elected to the House or Senate, I would be very happy for him and our country. Not everyone in the world is suppossed to be president. Do what makes you happy, make the most of the talents that you possess, and do what you can do to make a positive difference. I don't think I will ever be a politician, but that does not bother me at all. I know that somewhere in life I WILL find a way to make a very positive contribution.

He'd make a wonderful senator from the great state of Vermont. Of course he'd have to wait until there was an open seat. I have NO doubt in my mind that Dean would win in a landslide if he were to run.

But of course it aint gonna happen because he'll be president, I just know it! :)
