How Dare Bush Insult our Canadian Neighbors This Way??
I've been furious since the general, blanket announcement today (at that time without details) of the Bush crime cartel's issuing of contracts only to "the coalition of the willing". Let me blow.........

The Willing??-- you mean those slime (edited for the thought police) who were all bought off with billions from us taxpayers to support this loser in the Oval Office in the first place?? And one can rest assured that each of these "nothing" nations are only a front for American corporations who are vultures having orgasams over the burnt flesh of war! But, I went over the edge when I saw the particulars and found that Canada was on the list of those excluded----yo, Canada, that's your punishment for selling us the drugs at super low cost from our own crime ridden drug industry who supply you in the first place!! Let's see...

Is that CANADA we are punishing, as in the Canadian troops our high as a kite Top Guns toasted in the Afgan sands???---here's your body bags, Northern Neighbor, but we don't owe shit to you!!! And then this scumbag administration says that them thar' foreigners hate us 'cause we have such a rich lifestyle!!

(edited for the thought police)--in other words, our precious neighbors could make life awful for us if they wanted to....and if we keep pushing them like this moronic animal is, we could just face that type of unthinkable horror in the future. We need them so desperately in the every day safety of our people--and this Bush-shit don't care crap about the safety of the average American. We need our neighbors and we need a shitload of friends to prevent attack on our soil; and this Neanderthal, this non-achieving, drunken, coke=snorting, loser has now even taken us to the brink of alienating people who are virtually blood brothers. I live in Maine. I love to travel in Canada. I apologize from the bottom of my heart to our good and beautiful neighbors. Americans need to stop these animals or Americans deserve everything they get. This is where corporate greed gets us----I live in the hope that they push too far and the people put a chain around their greedy necks.

19. There are some cases like you describe since the Conservative gov't
in Ontario and Alberta cut back too much....We voted out the Conservatives in Ontario and there has been a recent study done by the Federal government which said we need more money...This is being rectified....The thing is, as you pointed out, even for this out of country health care OUR GOVERNMENT PAYS FOR IT!

The BCF is only rewarding people who came along with "operation kick their ass and take their gas" or "Operation kill Sand N******." Operation kill Sand N****** is what freaks like Friedman and Wolfowitz want.

7. Jeeze...I had a bit of a rant about this myself today.
It was with a winger who firmly believes that all nations should send troops and money while we keep the oil.

Poor guy_bad timing to come within my personal space.

Now don't forget that Canada has/had troops in Afghanistan as part of the NATO takeover. That would be the dumping of the pipeline war into NATO's lap while we went after the oil.

It is really becoming more and more difficult to decide whether to explode every hour on the hour, or just turn it all off.

9. I caught a guy once using 9/11 to justify the Iraqi War
I was at the gym catching my breath and I heard this guy upset about the $87 Billion the BCF wanted for Iraq. The guy he was talking to said "well was it our problem when they blew up our buildings." I then said "Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, etc." He then changed the subject after I hammered the little snake handling creep with all the Jesus stuff on himself. What a disgusting pig:puke:

What is taking place now with your government is beyond belief.
We in Canada know that our troops are the largest contingent outside of the Americans, in Afghanistan....Wasn't that supposed to be the "war on terror?"......Besides that we donated $300 million to the reconstruction of Iraq!.....But because of your "free press" your American public doesn't know that...They think Canada has let down our neighbour....It's so sad....
P.S....I'm not mad at Americans....as we've all said to you...IT'S YOUR GOD DAMNED GOVERNMENT!!

20. Thank you Starpass
great post. I'm afraid to say that this latest move by * is taking the USA close to the brink of totally alienating Canadian's. It's not really the contracts ( most of us consider this blood money). But Wolfie stating that Canada is excluded for national security reasons is offensive. We gave $300 million dollars of our tax money to help reconstruct Iraq, an invasion that we don't believe in. This is money that could have gone to Afghanistan...a country our troops are still dying in. Isn't it fascinating that * is sooooo offended by Canada's non-participation, but we never here any criticism from Blair, and we're part of the Commonwealth. Where did * get this idea from that Canada blindly follows the USA into battle, throughout our history we've aligned ourselves with Britain. The fools in the White House certainly are not students of history. I never dreamed that the day would come that the great old USA would be this threatened by Canada. Truth and justice used to be the American way ( or so said Superman). We are living a nightmare.

24. Something else that Bush and his cronies have forgotten...
we offered safe harbour to thousands of American citizens who were forbidden to land in their home country on 9/11 and shared our homes and our hearts with them. When Chretien was called and asked to accept the hundreds of planes, he never hesitated even though it was a great risk as there could have been hijackers on those planes as well.

I dispise your government not the American people. Get that man and his criminal buddies out of the White House, please!

25. Halliburton's not home free yet. They still have to compete with Palau.
Yes, Palau, formerly a UN Trust Territory under U.S. rule, with a population of 15,000 and no armed forces, was duly noted as a member of the Bush*/PNAC "Coalition of the Killing", uh I mean "willing" :-).

So I guess that leaves the renowned Palau industrial conglomerates free to compete with Halliburton and Bechtel, like... um... er... oh well, they do have some really great diving out there.

27. I fear the Busheviks are going to do a lot more than that ultimately...
Think about it. The Busheviks can no more leave Free Canada up there for the long term while they are taking away that freedom from Amerikans than Catherine the Great could leave the Poles intact in the 1780s when they drafted an American-style Constitution.

Russia, Germany and Austria, each authoritarian states, dismembered Poland over two decades, literally parcelling the land between themselves and killed the dream of starting the "American Experiment" in Europe.

Not for at least two decades, I reckon, and of course it won't be done 18th Century style...if it is done. Because for now Imperial America is still mostly free. Not until the Busheviks have utter control at the top will we begin to taste the pain in our daily lives in a Tyrannical sort of way (I hope I am not being too optimistic here), IMHO.

But Canada will eventually become a sore spot when that times comes, for the same reasons as Poland in the 1790s.

You've got to remember that country's got a higher percentage of gun owners and hunters than we do here in America.

That's one thing Michael Moore happened to be dead wrong about, the percentage of gun owners in Canada. Michael Adams of Environics Research ( a polling firm) says in his book "Fire and Ice" that only 22% of Canadians owned guns in 1996, compared with 49% of Americans.

Getting back to the point though, you've got to remember that many (probably most) Americans know nothing about Canada, let alone our government's position on the war.

34. thanks for posting, Starpass ...
As a Canadian, I've been overwhelmed by the deluge of support from Americans who are upset by the "Canadians show their flag too much" story and "no Iraq contracts for non-COW'd countries". I've been showing everyone up here that there are LOTS of Americans who oppose Bush's ideology. I say "they didn't vote for him" so often, my friends are thinking of making me a T-shirt with that on it!

I am starting to think that the people who've hijacked (yes, that's the word for it -- hijacked) the US government from its rightful owners are SCARED of Canada.

They see people who look like them, but got there by a different route. A lot of Americans think that Canada is normal/boring, even "a nice place to visit, or live" -- yet we have things which they've been led to believe are Evil and Horrible. (Such as government-owned corporations, and public health care, which in their minds are equated with Soviet Communism.)

And if that gets America thinking that maybe they could try this out for themselves, and perhaps the neo-conservatives might be WRONG when they say that there's only one way to build a prosperous democratic society ...

Well, those are dangerous thoughts. (For the present administration, anyway.) So they are lashing out, desperately trying to banish the thought of Canada from American minds.

I wonder when they'll start building that fortified wall between us?
