CBS-banished Reagan miniseries on Showtime - post your reviews please!
Those of you with Showtime who've been watching the slanderous, un-Amurkin treason on Saint Ronnie, PLEASE post some comments and reviews here for the great unwashed. I think there's another episode on tonight, and I need to know what we're missing.

5. I missed the good parts
Caught the movie from his entry into California governors race to the end. I don't know what all the fuss was about. Reagan was portrayed in a pretty positive light. Nancy came off a bit bitchy and sure the family's somewhat dysfunctional but that's America. It certainly wasn't a Reagan smear job by any standard. Were the Repubs pissed because he wasn't shown to be perfect?

James Brolin did a great job playing the part. Very believable

2. Man I was just going to ask if anyone saw any of this??? --and
..then tonight I saw these fucking vermin on the cable news nets talk about some E-TV (whatever the hell that is) that will be doing the "all about Clinton dick sucking" in living color. Ohhhh, and no one objects to that. I fault the Democrats. Where the hell is their cry about censorship----and I don't care if it's Lieberman or Dean--where the fuck are you........oh, I know, in bed with corporate whoremasters, all of you. Correct???????

6. Don't worry. The show they are talking about is on A&E
And if its a repeat of the one I saw a year or two ago, its just their standard biography show. They don't really take a political stance on much of anything on A&E.

3. Quote on gays and AIDS?
Anyone remember what the movie represented Ray-gun saying about that subject?

Someone told me there was also a juicy one about African-Americans too. Showtimers - please fill me in.

4. Just Heard Excepts On NPR....
I would rather have my spleen removed with a dull knife than sit through this. It sounds bad bad BAAAD like the Jayne Mansfield story starring Loni Anderson. Surprised at Judy Davis sounding so hammy --- she was good as Judy Garland, another tough biog role.

James Brolin, Lordy Lordy, you would think after his disastrous turn as Clark Gable in "Gable and Lombard" he would never, ever take on such a project again. I found his Rich Little "imitator" take on Ronnie stictly LOL.

Now, I don't think they should have taken it off for political reasons, but just from the part I listened to it stunk to high heavans, writing & acting wise.

7. I saw the show and it was pretty boring
Reagan was portrayed as being completely spaced out throughout his whole term and Nancy was portrayed as a overprotective bullying wife. Bad acting on everyone's part.

9. The Part Where Jack Kemp & Reagan's Gay Party Boys in Tahoe
have a romping good time was another great part of the "movie".
