Who was that republican dude on CNN just now
He was talking about the Dean campaign. I
wanted to know what Deanies thought about what he said.

1. Michael Murphy, former McCain campaign director
Also directed Little Ricky's against HRC. 'Twas very interesting. I came into the room, saw him on TV, and said out loud, "I hate that guy." But I found what he had to say very honest, and it confirmed my own feelings about what "smart Republicans" must be thinking: that Dean is suddenly not looking like the cake-walk they were praying he would be.

What he said about the general election was more troublesome. Made me realize that Dean probably is going to transform into something else if he wins the primaries. What made me anxious is I don't know what that something else can be that won't alienate his base a little.

4. John Podesta said pretty much the same last spring.
That at some point Dean is going to have to campaign from the position that he's most comfortable with, the center. His inconsistencies in his rhetoric comes from new positions that don't quite fit who he is at his own core.

7. He'll move to the 'middle'
where he is already...the Rethugs pay too much attention to their own (and DLC) propaganda and also seem miscued by Dean's campaign style.

2. Missed him. But if you tell me who it was I can probably tell you
what he said. They each have their own script.

5. I wnted to know first what Deanies
heard him say and second if you thought he was honest.
I guess I also wanted to know what your feelings were about the general election and the transformation.
