Poll question: If your candidate does not win the nomination.....
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 11:05 PM by usfbull2000
....do you think you will consciously or subconsciously hope that the Dem PRESIDENT is not successful during their term?

Bottom line: In order for your brand of Dem ideology to prevail in the party, must the other Dem fail??

1. Oh god
These questions have to end.

In the end- ANY LIBERAL can beat and will beat Bush in 2004.

It's very simple.

If a jar of mayonaise with the democratic nomination it will become president in 2004. It's that simple.

5. I think it is a very valid question...
There seems to be a battle for the soul of the Dem party. How serious are people about engaging in, and winning the battle? Very important IMHO.

3. No, absolutely not.
How stupid and counter-productive is that? I don't care if they all drop out and the only person that wants the job is Bozo the Clown, if he runs as a Dem, he's got my vote.

11. I don't think everyone is understanding what you are asking.
You are assuming a win by the Democrat vs. Bush and asking if anyone will secretly hope that the Democratic President will fail. You are not asking if anyone will hope the Democrat won't beat Bush...I mean, we all know that would be downright masochistic!

13. Oh, duh....
I misread it. I'd still vote the same. I would hope that they would succeed. Just forget the other drivel that I posted. And it's not THAT big a difference, if you think about it.

6. Duh.
Subconciously hoping that the Dem nominee is not successful = Supporting Bush. What kind of a patriotic American in their right mind would vote YES to this question?

9. I don't think you understand what I am asking....
For example....If Wes Clark wins the presidency, and you supported Dem X because you believe they represent where the party should be, will you hope Clark fails as president so that his ideology is discredited. How much are you married to your ideology, will you run a guerilla campaign to "win" back control of the party, etc....

10. I just keep thinking that gwb has screwed up
so badly that it will only get worse b4 it gets better. I don't want a Democratic candidate to take the blame. I went a long time wishing that wesley wouldnt run or that he wouldnt get the nomination for that reason

16. The yes votes are amazing.
Just because you are liberal doesn't mean you have to whole-heartedly support a democratic president, or the democratic party platform. That sounds like some kind of freeper line with the words "liberal" and "democrat" stuck in.
