Clark on being Dean's VP
He didn't say no.

But General Clark also had to face being asked on CNN's "American Morning" program whether he would consider being Howard Dean's running mate.

"I've never really addressed that question with myself to any extent," General Clark said. "He talked to me about it before I ran. And I told him, I said, Howard, look, this is not, you know, I'm not interested in talking about that. I'm not even thinking about that."

12. A Dean/Graham ticket would be better!
Just my belief. I think Bob Graham would be better. A Southerner and form Florida. He still carries weight in his own state, Why not?

8. divide and conquer, that is the only way they can beat us
if we can't put this your candidate, my candidate bull shit behind us. All they have to do is keep writing articles just like this. And after they name the nominee, I bet a million dollars right around the end of October, hell probably November 3rd at least two networks will air "where are the other eight candidates, now, the night before the 2004 presidential election" specials just to remind everyone that they never really agreed with Dean or Kerry or Clark or Kucinich or Gepthart or Sharpton or Braun or Lieberman. In the hopes that we will still be so pissed that our favorite lost the nomination and why should we even fucking vote? Divide and Conquer

Hillary runs after the "Draft Hillary" movment strikes paydirt in New Hampshire.

She picks Clark as her running mate.

That is the plan.

6. Uniting the party depends on this,
I think.

We really, really need a Dean/Clark ticket, for SO many reasons.

18. They're perfect compliments to each other.
Dean has great domestic policy, but little foreign policy experience, and was one of the first candidates (yes, Kucinich) to come out against the Iraq war. Clark, on the other hand, has never been elected to a statewide office, and has very little domestic policy experience, but is a four-star general and has great diplomatic skills and credibility.

They also both happen to be the leading candidates, respectively, for what seems to be two massive, warring factions of the Democratic Party.

Maybe they should get together. ;)

But if Dean or Clark were to be nominated, Why would they pick each other? Since both of them claim to be outsiders, wouldn't it make more sense for them to pick someone who is an insider an their running mate?

19. As both a soldier and a democrat, I believe he would...
... accept the VP nod, if asked, because of his sense of duty to both the Republic and the party.

Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean in '04! :dem:

21. do you really think he hasn't thought about it?
when he says stuff like this and the other night when he said he never thought about getting BC's endorsement, he loses credibility with me. honestly.why wouldn't these thoughts surface? it's only human to think ahead and hope for an endorsement from the man who called you a star of the party and i can't imagine any candidate not considering with whom and if he'd be willing to serve as VP if the nomination didn't come their way.

saying that he never thought about it makes me think he's either not very thought-filled or lying. i know they all do stuff like this. it's still a turn off. there is nothing wrong with saying "i don't know" or i'll cross that bridge if i come to it"
