Hillary bashing Dean behind the scenes
Yeah, I know the source sucks, but any smidgen of truth to it?

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2003/12/11/13459.shtml

Hillary Aides in Dean-bashing Blitz

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has launched a behind-the-scenes campaign to pressure fellow Democrats not to support presidential front-runner Howard Dean – a move some say raises new questions about her own intentions in 2004.

Aides to Sen. Clinton have begun contacting party movers and shakers in a bid to discredit Dean and dispel the notion that the Vermont Democrat has the nomination sewn up.

"Hillary Clinton's people – and I know, I get these calls all the time – call and bash on Dean," Democratic strategist Bob Beckel told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" late Wednesday. Beckel managed Walter Mondale's unsuccessful 1984 presidential bid.

Mrs. Clinton's husband has apparently joined in the effort, with the Rev. Al Sharpton revealing late Wednesday that he was contacted by the former president in the wake of Al Gore's endorsement of Dean.

1. I would never cite Newsmax as a credible source
Their stories are "highly" dubious in nature. It is right-wing perspective on the Democratic party.

5. Normally, yes. But this one fits.
I dislike Hillary Clinton more with each passing day. She is not only a pro-IWR Bush enabler, she is a part of The Kingmakers; exactly the folks that Dean is trying to flush from the Democratic party. Understand that I virulently defended Hillary Clinton for years. But I think she is turning out to be a stinker.

14. You need to understand that you're falling for the old "divide and...
...conquer" routine.

From here on out, the mainstream press will stop at nothing to discredit ANY Democratic front-runner.

3. Not only does the source...
SUCK so does the content!

"Mrs. Clinton's husband has apparently joined in the effort, with the Rev. Al Sharpton revealing late Wednesday that he was contacted by the former president in the wake of Al Gore's endorsement of Dean."

Um, I believe Sharpton said Clinton had made calls to all the candidates!

There were so many things that bothered me about the Gore endorsement... but this "there is now a war between the Clinton's and Gore" thing is one of the worst.

They are wanting to DIVIDE and CONQUER us!

9. Just ReadSomething Similar By Pat Buchanan
Titled "The Nixonian Strategy Of Al Gore"
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/patbuchanan/pb20031211.shtml

I am dumbfounded to read an entire article by Pat B. that praises Gore by comparing him to Nixon.

Do we live in a brave, new, freaky world, or what? :eyes:

17. My take on it
right now any right wing source is lying! <----as usual

In this run up to the democratic nomination they will be lying more than usual, half truths, spins, and out right propaganda.

What they are doing is attacking from all angles and putting out near about every wedge issue look for more of this and yes their talking points are being faxed all over town.

Hillary was right there is a vast right wing conspiracy and it was out to get her husband and her too.<----and any Democrat out there as matter of fact! Thing is it's no conspiracy they do it right out in the open.

If you haven't read David Brock's 'Blinded by the Right' I suggest you do it's a good start to understand how the wheels are turning and you will find they run the same MO a lot.

Here's a good read about the 'vast right wing conspiracy' I'm sure a lot of people here have already read this but if you haven't please do so.

Just change the name from Clinton to whoever the Democratic nominee or any Democrat and there we are this is what we are up against!

http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-clintonrightwingconspiracy.html
Myth: There’s no "vast right wing conspiracy" to get Clinton.

Fact: Richard Mellon Scaife and the Republican Establishment have poured millions into the effort.
