3. Looks like I get to party with Joe Stalin this weekend
I somehow ended up with a negative score from these Bible freaks:

Your classification is: Communist worldview

Your score is: -35 points of 202 possible, -17%

But there's hope for me yet. They've given me a chance to redeem myself:

To improve your biblical worldiew or that of your teen we recommend the following things:

Attend a Worldview Weekend near you.
Send your 16 to 25 year olds to a two-week Summit camp in Colorado. (You will find a link to their web page on every page of our website)
Adults should consider a one week Summit experience at our Adult/Educators Conf held at the Navigator's Glen Eyrie Conference Center.
Begin teaching or attending a 13 week course of study entitled Thinking Like A Christain. This course is for sale at our onlne bookstore at www.worldviewweekend.com
Read the following worldview books which are available at our online bookstore at www.worldviewweekend.com
Mind Seige by Dr. Tim LaHaye and Dr. David Noebel
God & Government I, II, and III by Gary DeMar
No Retreasts, No Reserves, No Regreats, by numerous authors
Original Intent by David Barton
Reasons for Believeing By Frank Harber
The Battle For Truth, by David Noebel
Revised and Expanded Answers Book by Ken Ham
Thinking Straight in a Crooked World by Gary DeMar

Then retake the test and see what improvements you or your teen have made.

On Edit:

Did anyone see McGovern on CNN or MSNBC? Think maybe it was even Chris Matthews - only got a minute view of it - for some reason - had to go I guess - but I really liked what he was saying - that liberals is not a bad word and has been around for centuries - as well as conservatives - and he doesn't understand why comparing Dean to McGovern is a bad thing - he said "granted" he lost considerably to Richard Nixon - but then he said - Look how that turned out - the most corrupt administration up to that point in history - a president who had to be removed from office. That that was a great touche!.

at least half the church is, both within and without..."corporatist" is also a good description. The catholic hierarchy saw Liberation Theology as the same as communism, saw both as representing an economics system that would benefit the poor rather than the rich and, as such, was bitterly and even militarily, opposed by the hierarchy.

Then again, with those questions...Sheesh

Civil Government 40% - Secular Humanist
Economics 76% - Biblical Theism (Woo-Hoo!)
Education 21% - Socialist
Family 25% - Secular Humanist
Law 17% - Socialist
Religion -25% - Communist (Boo!Hiss!)
Science 4% - Socialist
Social Issues 35% - Secular Humanist

Final Score 34 Socialist Worldview

I tend to think of myself as rather libertarian, but if the Worldview Weekend test says I'm a Socialist, dammit, I am!

13. ...
This test is written poorly.

What if I believe a human life only has value after it has gained self-conscienceness? I would put "disagree" to their abortion question, giving me a point in the religionist/authoritarian department.

And this question:
George W. Bush is the President of the United States of America.

Am I supposed to put "disagree." Albeit he may or may have not gotten there through dubious means, it's kind of a fact there, numbskulls.

I would have scored much lower, were it not for my rejection of the UN and moral relativist questions. No, I don't think all cultures are equal, but that certainly doesn't make me a right-winger! Nor does my opposition to government by the UN.

18. Guess I read too much Marx and not enough Bible
Cause I am a damn dirty COMMIE! God I feel so much better now, since a website asked me a list of black-and-white "leading" questions, most of which had nothing to do with communism, and was able in the space of a few minutes to determine my worldview. Does anyone else feel as enlivened and envigorated now that they know the ABSOLUTE, black and white truth about themselves? Well, time to go help form that one world government where everyone gets equal incomes and nobody gets private property!

19. That was fun -76 Woo hoo!
Looking over the "correct answers", I found that having a high score means you're a freedom-hating rabid religious right winger.

How low can you go?

For instance, the "correct answer" of "strongly disagree" was for the question about where humans are basically good. Does that mean that the correct answer is to say that we're all born evil?

And not being a bible believer will almost automatically make you a Socialist or Communist according to this test. Not being Christian, anything that involved saying something was biblical or not biblical was scored a "no opinion".

Let's hear it for a wonderfully diverse world with wonderfully diverse people in it!

Both views repudiate greed, avarice, murder, deceit for personal gain, and promote a world in which people respect each other and get fair treatment.

Plus, Karl Marx was often referred to as the "Last Great Prophet of the Old testament".

38. This must be rw revisionist history
What office? Russia was an absolute monarchy (feudal structure) before the Revolution. People don't engage in overthrowing the powerful unless they have nothing left to loose. Stalin hijacked the Revolution. Read Emma Goldman's account(s). However, Hitler and other fascists killed more people in that period than the others put together and they are still killing-look around.

Also, Mao saved a lot of people who used to starve during periodic famines in empirical China.

31. re: fixing the schools
Sample Question:
The earth came into existence billions of years ago.
Your answer: Strongly Agree (-1 points)
Correct answer: Strongly Disagree

The whole test is full of this sort of thing...
and these are their sums:

Total Results for Everyone
Strong Biblical Worldview Thinker 47.3%
Moderate Biblical Worldview Thinker 31.9%
Secular Worldview Thinker 9.7%
Atheist/Socialist Worldview Thinker 4.7%
Communist/Marxist Worldview 6.3%

My point is that if people are being taught ideas like the earth is 4000 years old, and you think we're having problems losing jobs to people in other countries now, we've got a whole other ballgame on our hands.

Right wing propaganda is pushing the fearful into belief in this nonsense, not the schools although there are places where school boards have wanted to exclude scientific findings in favor of "creationism", then there are the "religious schools" and rwnut "home schools", and, I might add, the "mainstream media" but heck you know all this and we certainly agree on the need for countering the right-wing propaganda wherever it occurs.

BTW, they should remove the word "Thinker" from the first two category names.

What's with all the one-government under the UN crap? Or weird questions like:"The biblical purpose of government is to guarantee equality in schooling, housing and incomes." It's almost like they have a picture in mind of a caricature of a left winger that they're propagandizing against.

The people who made that test are confusing social policy with economic policy. Being a socialist has nothing to do with being secular.
Fundies can't rationally (read: without citing ancient texts that have been proven wrong ) justify anything.
