I haven't a clue why any candidate thinks these "embeds" are good ideas in the first place. They don't work for the candidate, or the campaign, but for news agencies that might well be opposed to the candidate as a matter of policy.
Don't make it easier for these clowns to learn what's going on inside the campaigns. That just makes it easier for them to screw you and stab you in the back when the official memo comes down that YOUR candidate is no longer in their favor.
Having these people around breaks down the essential suspicion a campaign should have of ALL outsiders. These embeds are not our friends even if we like them because they've been around so long and everyone likes to be paid attention to.
Do any candidates have the final say on what these folks report? Then why give them such wide access to subjects that are nobody's business but the candidates? This is a mistake and the campaigns should take advantage of the ABC move to remove ALL embeds from ALL the campaigns.
Make the newsmedia work for their stories, the way they are supposed to do. If they are going to lie, why give them more credibility by giving them access like that?
