Teresa - The "Mother" of all House Parties
I hope this thread can stay, even with the naughty word. I sure would have liked to put it in the subject line! I love her, she's so funny. I'm also glad to see her talking about the digital divide and reminding people that we'll have to put feet to the streets to reach alot of our base who don't have computers or internet access.

"When Teresa Heinz-Kerry arrived, she handed me a pin that read in the center: “Asses of Evil” with “Bush”, “Cheney”, “Rumsfeld” and “Ashcroft” surrounding it. She met, greeted and talked to a jam-packed room of Kerry supporters and others who came for the MoveOn documentary. Many were curious, others undecided, or belonging to other candidate camps."

"Teresa said, “The Internet is a great grass-roots organizing and political tool; but it is still an adjunct.” The producer asked her to clarify. Teresa responded, “Until EVERYONE has access to a computer and knows how to access the Internet, it will still be an adjunct political grassroots organizing tool."

2. She hit that nail on the head.
Wow. This woman understands real issues of poverty because she lived in that world with her father tending to the poor at their weakest moments.

One of this world's most diligent philanthropists for real world issues. Thankyou Teresa and Happy Birthday John.

3. Remember, at the Rock the Vote debate,
when the candidates were asked who they'd like to party with, Sharpton turned to Kerry, and said "John Kerry's wife" --

Thanks for posting this....a potential First Lady handing out "Asses of Evil" buttons -- love it!

5. She does make me laugh....
but, more important, she inspires more awareness of world issues and shines a light on the bleakness of other nations and their poor and how best to address their needs with longterm solutions.
