before they start. He hasn't said he won't do it with a smaller field though.

It would be wonderful to have Carter endorse either Clark or Edwards(whichever one is left on super tuesday) in Atlanta before the Georgia primary

endorse anyone connected to the military like Clark. He could endorse Edwards though as a southerner.

If he is as 'inside' as I suspect he is, then he knows which candidate will receive the massive support and other advantages that The Annointed One (by the DNC/DLC) will have.

McGovern wasn't "the annointed one," Carter wasn't "the annointed one", even Dukakis, who basically won by accident, wasn't the favorite of any DC clique. For better or worse, Democratic nominees have been picked via state primary elections, not backroom deals, since 1972.

How did Gary Hart get suddenly shelved in 1984?? This was BEFORE Donna Rice, BTW. How did Bob Dole suddenly catapult into the lead, after losing primary after primary?? How did GWB beat out John McCain in 2000??? His abilities????

Especially if Clark is Clinton's guy like everyone says. And Clinton will do it at exactly the most impactful moment for whomever is guy or gal is.

My wild guess is that he'll do it before NH if Dean wins Iowa.

bill clinton likes john kerry also. carter seems to be leaning towards clark since he feels he can win the election. he said he isn't supporting dean because he wants to support the person who has the best chance of winning. i guess he believes that is clark. he has also said some good things about him recently. clark also didn't like dean's confederate flag comments.
