A new kind of ABB- (please look folks)

Now as many of you know I am a big Kucinich supporter, wont be switching any time soon, I simply am proud and happy with my candiate of choice. I realize though, that in the end I am gonna have to support the nominee. I will, I have decided. He or She will have my support, I will ask the people who can vote, to vote for this person. I admit, I have my problems with some of the candiates but thats ok, we are all democrats, and I bet they all have some quality that appeals to me personally. So though it will not be easy, I will in the end support the nominee. I will be cheering for whoever our nominee is, I will also be cheering with you on that November evening when the votes are being counted. I will be yelling on the streets with pride, that we got that sob out. We will have won our nation back. Tommorow is the third anniversity of the theft of the election back in 2000, we must remember and carry the light against Bush. We will win people in 2004 I believe. The feeling is gonna be one of joy and triumph. Words will not be able to tell you how I feel after we beat Bush. It will be a feeling of triumph over the bastard though. Guys I really think we gotta support the nominee. Now lets support our candiates in the primaries and send Bush home, and begin with a just new century. I want the years of the beginning of my adulthood to be ones of greatness. All these candiates have something that I prefer to Bush, I may not feel comfortable with all them, but so be it, I will proudly support the nominee. Maybe this is a better unity message than ABB, but I cant explain it folks. Ive spent nearly 3 years under the reign of Bush and I dont like it. So I say and yell Viva la liberation. I hope to join you on a fine fall day when we can say we won, and on a winter's day to begin a new beginning. Thank you. PS: Are you all as excited me at the prospects. Ive come to realize this, that we are all idealistic and pragmatic at the same time and that we have more in common than differences, only thing we disagree about I guess is who we want to knock Bush out. I remain idealistic but willing to support the party.

I admit I dont feel 100% on all the candiates. Your welcome. Thanks I may just write a book, writing is my thing now, maybe my love story I am writting now will get traction :). I have tried, Ive been as pissed as people are, Ive been down, btw I got my idealogical purity still here but I will do what I can to support the nominee. Believe me, its not gonna be easy to do after how Ive felt but knowing the good that will come out of it, that makes you smile. VIVA LA LIBERATION!

BTW I still got my ideals, I sigh do admittingly not feel comfortable with some of the candiates but you know, I know how things have been under Bush, and realize I am a democrat as were my ancestors, and I see the good in many of these guys and gal. I'll do what I can. I have nothing to offer but my blood and sweat to quote Churchill. Its not gonna be easy but did we expect that, all will be good in the end I think, maybe just maybe I may get the progressive politics I want in the white house, if Bush is sent home, I will be happy. Ive felt guilty actually because I was nervous about how I would react if someone I had misgivings about got it, but I realize now, that they all would be better. I realize that the prize though is getting the white house back.

I'm in the same boat you are. I'm a DK supporter, but whoever gets the nomination has got my vote. Yeah, some of them aren't as liberal as I'd like them to be, but they are a vast improvement over Bush and I think they truly have our best interests at heart.

14. The Democratic primary is the ONLY election that matters

We don't need to fight after the primary, because then the fight is over. We all want Bush gone. This is the only opportunity we have to do anything, in the next six months. Any kind of spoiler strategy will do more harm than good, and almost everyone knows it.

You believe will win in 2004. If you believe that then it makes sense to call for unity. 99% of people here are ABB. The difference is that some us believe that face an uphill fight against Bush and that our candidates have varying levels of electability. I am one of those people. I want to defeat Bush but I firmly believe we need to nominate the candidate with the best chance of doing that. Many others agree with me and that is why we are harsh against some candidates that will lead us down the road to defeat in 2004, in our view.

We are fighting for the same goal but have differing views of how to achieve that goal. We may be harsh in our criticisms of some candidates we consider unelectable but that is not because of our hatred of that candidate, it is because of our intense desire to defeat Bush in 2004.

The way I sort of view the tension at DU right now is that we all want what is best for our country and we disagree about who that candidate is which will be our fighter to restore our beloved country. We're angry at the misadministration and I believe this anger gets displaced.
In the end I think all will "fall in line" for the greater good. I know I will.

The best thing will be seeing Bush go. I'm going to support the nominee 100%. If I have reservations about him/her..I'm going to put them aside and give them the benefit of the doubt, knowing that they will be better than GWB*. I'll give them a chance to exceed my expectations. ;) I guess I'm lucky in that I don't have very many reservations about the candidates. Even though I have my favorites, I think we have a good field of candidates.

that any Dem other than Kucinich (or maybe Sharpton or Braun) will not get us anywhere we want to go. All it will do is stop us temporarily from stepping off the cliff--which is certainly a worthy enough objective at this point.

What we DON'T do, like so many did when Clinton got elected, was go to sleep and assume that with a Dem in charge things won't get too bad. Wrong. We keep pushing the Kucinich agenda, whatever happens.

He is already president of the American chapter of Another World is Possible, and he will remain so whatever the outcome of the election. I want him as president of the US as well, but if we don't do it next year, let's try again real soon.
