Oh, yeah, Zell Miller has lost it...
Just said there are two wings of the democratic party - the far left of the Clintons and the far far left of Gore and Dean.

Wrong on both counts.

1. When will he just go away?
We get it Zell, you hate your party. Either change affiliations or shut the hell up already.

2. He also said Clinton said he was for balanced budgets and ....
being tough on criminals. Seems that I recall that Clinton balanced the budget and also put 100,000 more cops on the street. Zell Miller has lost all contact with reality. He is supporting George Bush and it is fair to say that he will not have a balanced budget during his term.

3. That's just such a stupid thing to say
And no one challenges him on it.

Classic dummy speech:
1. Incorrectly define something
2. Criticize that something based on your misdefinition

Zell Miller beleieve in the two party system - Right Wing Republicans and Moderate Republicans.

4. What a wacko.
It's official, Zell Miller hates America.
Somebody ask him what purpose it will serve to have two far-right parties controlling America. Why not just merge the Dems with Republicans and get all the bickering over with?

Traitor. Thats all there is to it.

5. Did he get a lobotomy?
That has to be one of the dumbest things he's ever said. He sounds like a freeper. They're the only ones who think Clinton was far left.

6. I don't see where he is wrong...

I don't know of any truly so-called "moderate" Democrats in the 9 that are running for President.

17. Then you're either dreadfully unobservant...
or else just stupid. Dean is a moderate, even somewhat conservative save on his anti-war stance...Lieberman is a conservative-leaning moderate...Clark, from what one can make out, is a moderate. Of course, it's not hard for even a right-leaning moderate to look like a radical leftist when being measured against Bush and his gang of extreme rightists (which, one suspects, is your baseline, else you couldn't make such a howlingly asinine statement.)

9. "the far left of the Clintons"?!!!
So what the hell is "just plain left" to Zell? Moderate Repbulicans?

Zell makes Dems like Biden, Bayh, and Lieberman look like hard core socialists.

I'm betting that a substantial portion of Republicans, if not most, would not identify the Clintons as "far left".

Just one more thing that proves that Zell is Right Wing, period. Not even "Bush-lite".

Zell should be standing outside our Big Tent in the freezing rain, with the rest of his right wing and far right pals.

12. What Jon STEWERT Said to Him Last Night
"When you are in a meeting of DEMOCRATS, do you SIT with anybody? Who do you SIT with?" Made motions of sitting alone sipping from a cup, then screaming, "I'M ALONE!!!!"

15. On the contrary...
He's one Clark DOES appeal to... which is a big part of the dem base - and whoever attracts the swing centrists wins. Period.

16. On the daily show...
he also said he is still a republican.. (paraphrase)

"It's like living in a old house. You know'd you be happier in a newer house, but you're comfortable with the one you've got...."

Here's where it got fucked up

"And suddenly you find out there are these people living in the basement of your house. You don't know where they came from, and they won't go away."

See... his analogy basically said conservatives own the Democratic party and that the liberals are squatters in the basement.

John Stewart was laughing his ass off at the man.

18. it's not the strangers in the basement, it's the bats in your belfry, Zell
That was incredible. It's just some selfish stoginess that makes him not want to join the party of the carpetbaggers. Listening to him point out the outrage that Democrats would hold up Homeland Security just out of some grudge because Bush wanted to destroy workers' rights and abolish unions was jaw-dropping.

He's just a mild-mannered old crank; he's stubborn and has no feeling of loyalty to the group: if you care about the group, and it's obvious that virtually all of them are against you, you should have the social conscience to quit the group. Doing anything else is just supreme selfishness and obstructionism.

I'm just glad he's retiring, but I think it might be a nice sign to throw him out of the Democratic Caucus right now, if not out of the party.

19. Zell and his KKK buddy Trent seem to think the South
Edited on Thu Dec-11-03 08:31 PM by kcwayne
is full of good old boys running their blood hounds through the swamp chasing darkies.

I haven't lived in the South for 10 years, and I knew my share of these Gomers, but know alot of other people that don't think Jayzus, coon hunting, and the KKK are where its at, and may just be more than a little pissed about the loss of the entire textile and furniture industries, and aren't interested in seeing their sons and daughters get sacrificed in Iraq.

Its just an opinion, but with the number of Midwesterners and Northerners that moved to the south in the 80's and 90's, and an indigenous population that KEPT buying the Dixie Chicks CD's, I think ol Zell and the Grand Dragon are in for a surpise about just how pissed people are with their smarmy cheese grit smirks, and lowbrow neanderthal bullshit.
