Dean is Gore's alter-ego
Dean isn't afraid to mix it up with the wingers, unlike Gore. Gore turned his cheek and played nice and he had his ass handed to him. Gore kept saying that he was going to take the "high road" but found out the hard way that there is no "high road" in American politics. Dean is doing what Gore wishes he had done.

4. So you saying that Gore is Dean's Ego's Altar Boy?
You might be onto something.

That would mean that Gore is hero worshipping the spunk he finds missing in himself, and there's a lot to be said for that theory, not all of it dismissive. Gore, for all his faults, is at least aware many of them.

Timid people who find it hard to be decisive are very dangerous in the tossing sea of politics; they're often dangerous by their being awestruck in the face of forthrightness. I like fighters too, but some hotheads cause themselves and their allies lots of troubles; I put Dean in this category.
