By whom I don't know and I don't think it matters. It's enough to boot him out of the WH. If things really go well we will take back Congress or at least one house of it.

Now here is the problem. Just because we booted the PNAC's out of government doesn't mean that they still aren't around and it doesn't mean that the media is suddenly going to start practicing journalistic ethics.

So instead of celebrating and then going about our business, what are we going to do to bring back a real unbiased press that practices journalistic standards? What are we going to do to bring back accounting standards in business? What are we going to do to make sure that no one like Bush ever gains the office of the President again and that no one like Arnold can ever get to be governor of any state?

Put your ideas here DU'ers. You never know who may be lurking and agreeing with them.

8. It is, I'm just putting into terms I like... Bush's electability
Since DU carps about our own candidates' electability, I think it is good to turn the spotlights back on the real opponent.

Bush isn't electable. If the Republicans stick with Bush for 2004, they will lose.

6. Is he electable?
He has to keep all the votes he got last time, plus get a half million more. He'll be a loser all his life. Sadly, people like James Baker make sure he still profits even as a lifelong loser.

10. As far as James Baker goes...it should be shouted loud and
clear that he, James Baker, is the defense lawyer for the House of Saud against the 9/11 people whose loved ones died at the WTC and on the planes. This is the truth and it should be told over and over.

JB is a sleaze. What else is new?

17. Yeah, I freaked too when I heard James Baker was the defense
attorney for the House of Saud. I believe I heard it on Randi Rhodes and she always has the facts.

5. I have always thought we will win
I have been talking to loads of people in my travels and the common theme of conversations seems to be to get rid of the cockroach. I talked to a stereotypical right wing lookin type sportin cowboy boots and a Stetson hat, I was amazed that he was more progressive than I was. I get more optimistic everyday. The American people are now starting to realize that they were bamboozled.

7. I love your attitude!
Yeah, I think we will win if we can really, really, keep our eyes on those cheating scum bag Repukes during election day. That's what it's all about. * doesn't have a rat's arse of a chance to win without his hardworking grunts on the ground fixin' things. So let's be hopeful but ever vigilent.

9. Oh, I think he's definitely electable.
We should not be naive about what we're facing. An incumbent president always has an advantage (he can spend his time campaigning rather than working) and he is always on CENTER STAGE with cameras and microphones turned his way. How many millions has Half-wit Bush and Crash Cart gathered up so far?

A challenger will always face an uphill battle. However, in the case of Bush versus Dean (or whoever it may be) maybe it won't be SO MUCH uphill. There are very few places in the government that BushBaby hasn't ferreted out and gutted.

Here's hoping (cheers). As for myself, I'm going to do the unthinkable: pound the pavement, knock on a lot of doors to sway the margin a little to the left.

11. We are going to win because there is so much ammo against *.
3 million jobs lost
debacle in Iraq
debacle in Afghanistan
overtime - say what? $22K and they "reclassify you" - no overtime pay
medicare - AARP debacle
alienaton from the rest of the world
no moral authority
largest deficit in history

And if Dean is the nominee, what will Rove and those b*stards hit him with? All Rove could find on his little trip to Vermont to get dirt on Dean is the following:

Dean and the draft - spare me on this one. Dean can bring up the fact that Cheney (Mr. "I had other priorities") and Bush*...just "where were you during 1971-19872?) They have NOTHING, NADA. Rush had an anal cyst (hello, Judy, the 'ho Woodruff!)

His records sealed as Governor: Bush* had his records sealed (as with more governors) until recently, when he released SOME records.
No story here...move along.

We are going to win and win BIG!

14. I agree - listen to CSPAN and hear the numbers of people calling in...
...just lambasting Bush.

there is outrage out there - in the south, midwest, everywhere.

people everywhere are sitting around their breakfast tables reading the newspaper and shaking their heads in disgust.

15. I'd like to think so.
But I'm not going to relax one bit until the next Democratic President takes the Oath of office in 1/05. In an honest election chimpy would be out of it now. His base is not expanding. He's got to get all who voted for him last time and then some to win. I don't see anyone new coming into the repug tent that wasn't already there.
But we all know what can be done with a less than honest (s)election.
