Move over Moveon.org!
Edited on Fri Dec-12-03 12:52 AM by 12 12 2000
Check out this sleazy, mis-directing and 'subliminable' advertisement that's airing in Iowa by a group, Grassfire.org, that's supposedly grass roots conservative that has come into being to counteract moveon.org.

12. Richard Mellon Scaife, of the Pittsburgh Mellon family
is a right-wing wacko with lots of money. He's the sugar daddy for the Heritage Foundation, The American Spectator and its Arkansas Project, Judicial Watch and many, many, many other right wing conspiracy groups.

5. Ummm?... What about them WMD's?
A dictator is not the reason why we bombed the fuck out of those people. There's plenty of dickhead dictators out there that are worst that Hussein. Why aren't we toppling them? What? They got no oil you say?

CARAVAN CONCLUDES TOUR WITH THE PROMISE OF ACTION!

Washington, DC?On Monday morning, the "Save the Commandments" caravan concluded its tour with a rousing news conference and rally that culminated in the delivery of 384,000 citizen petitions supporting the public display of the Ten Commandments.

...

At one point during the rally, president of Grassfire.net, Steve Elliott, announced the final total of the petitions that were gathered, explaining that the original goal of 250,000 was shattered by nearly 150,000! "This issue isn't over with this delivery," said Elliott, "it?s just beginning!"

Following the rally, camera crews clamored for position as a number of citizens hoisted boxes of the petitions and ushered them to the main entrance of the court in a dramatic citizen-led display!

"I?m so encouraged by these petitions," said Elliott. "People are fed up with the secularist agenda of the court, and this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Grassfire intends to do in coming months to pressure our leaders and court justices into returning to the moral foundation of law in our society!"

that most of these crimes were committed with at least the tacit support of Reagan, Rummsfeld, Poppy et al.   It must be just an oversight though. :grr:
