Remember that woman who was stomped on in Walmart...
There's more to this than meets the eye....

<snip>
It was revealed days later that VanLester filed more than a dozen workers' compensation claims against Wal-Mart and other employers, has previously received settlements from two other area businesses, and once unsuccessfully brought suit against Walgreens after supposedly slipping and falling in its Orange City store.

A Deltona woman who was in the Wal-Mart the morning of the recent incident disputes the accounts of VanLester and her sister.

"There was no mad rush in there," said Gale Barr, who had been in the store since 4 a.m. awaiting the sale. <snip>

1. reply
Perhaps this woman is a fraud. I don't know, but I am not going to exert any energy on defending Wal-Mart from unfair attacks. It's just not a priority for me. Perhaps Wal-Mart has brought such behavior on themselves, seeing how they mistreat their workers.

2. Fraud is fraud
Whether committed against good guys or bad guys. That said, I'm not getting all upset about poor WalMart. Their fleet of lawyers will see that they don't "suffer".

7. I have a hard time believing this...
...at least until all the facts are out. I'm not going to get out my torch and pitchfork like I did with Michael Jackson, that's for sure. What did the woman do, throw herself on the floor and beg people to step on her? Isn't she still in the hospital? Call me cynical, but somehow I trust the account of the average citizen over someone speaking for Wal-Mart.
