I'm proud of my Congressman

Rep Gene Taylor (DEMOCRAT) representing South Mississippi was thorougly pissed when he discovered five members of the MS National Guard injured in Iraq by a booby trap were denied purple hearts because their injuries were not deemed combat related. They sustained injuries from a DETONATED ARTILLERY SHELL. Taylor brought the matter up with General Myers (CJCS) and the Soldiers received their medals. Taylor believes combat casualties have been understated by the Pentagon. He is inquiring of other members of congress to see how widespread this travesty is. Its a shame how hard people have to work to undo the lies of the crew in Washington.

in our congressional delegation. He may not vote the way I like, but he's starting to stand up to Bush more.
