Watched The Daily Show repeat with Zell Miller last night
And couldn't believe my ears. Talked about how the Democrats were being controlled and influenced by "special interest groups." Even someone from the audience gasped when he mentioned this.

Fortunately, Jon came back with a statement/question concerning the Dems being backed by unions and Republicans being influenced by industry and big business (applause from the audience). Zell seemed to just pass on this statement.

Really, Zell, get your ass out of the party. Sip a few mint julips with my congressional rep Ralph Hall (another turncoat "Democrat") and fade away.

1. He's aweful, just trying to act like he is somebody
so he can hawk his book. Zell Miller cant even explain his position cogently.

2. Zellannity
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard him tell Sean that he loved his book and was proud to have been "Hannitized". Yikes!

4. I saw the very end of it.
I found Zell to be very amusing. I can see how he got himself elected. He comes across as personable, humorous, and self deprecating. His voting? - different story altogether.

5. Special Interest Groups
I always love how the Reich Wingers call organizations that support liberal causes and Democrats 'Special Interests Groups' and deny that organizations that support reactionary causes and Republicans are the exact same thing.

I am a member of a number of 'Special Interest Groups'...
Disabled American Veterans.
Veterans of Foriegn Wars.
Fleet Reserve Association.
Sierra Club.
(blank) School District PTA.
and others.
And how many of them would the Replutocans call 'Special Interest'?

7. That's just what he said.
It IS a "special interest group". You have no objections to the other groups, such as the Disabled American Veterans.

Just what's WRONG with special interest groups? That's the question.

8. This is whats wrong with special interest groups.
Republicans don't like special interest groups because they represent people, and Republicans don't like people getting involved with and interrupting the political process.

9. Did you hear the Zell and Trent Mutual Admiration Society
Edited on Fri Dec-12-03 01:37 PM by Skidmore
on Tweety's gabfest last night? They were practically making out. Trent commented that they don't make centrist liberals like Zell anymore (at which point I sat forward and went "huh?"). Then Zell went on and on about how the Democratic party is made up now of two extreme wings, the far left (represented by Dean) and the far, far left (represented by the Clintons and Gore and anyone else you could possibly wish to villify). They twittered and giggled and simpered and Tweety glowed because he was lucky to have on such honest politicians.

Big gag!!!
