Dennis Kucinich finally has an ad!
WEB ANIMATION READY FOR PRIME TIME
The response to Eric Blumrich's powerful animation about the occupation has been overwhelming. We will be airing it in Iowa as a television ad with information on how to get involved in the Dennis Kucinich for President campaign at the end of it. But first we need your contributions. To watch the ad and contribute to airing it, click here: http://tvad1.kintera.org

here is the ad:
http://www.kucinich.us/dk.html

WATCH THIS!
It is truly powerful.

They are goning to put a 30 second version on TV in Iowa. The two minute flash animation has been circulating here on DU for some time. Finally, some folks are paying attention to it.

10. good question
I've not seen it. I wonder whether it exists as of yet.

You may find this adweek story of interest. Not clear to me whether George Lois will be doing 30 second version of flash animation or some other ad.

Lois Assists Presidential Candidate Kucinich
December 09, 2003
By Gregory Solman

LOS ANGELES Presidential candidate and former Cleveland Mayor Dennis Kucinich is producing his first television and radio advertising for the 2004 campaign with the help of former ad executive George Lois, the campaign has confirmed.

Lois, a member of the Art Directors Hall of Fame who served at New York agencies Doyle Dane Bernbach and Papert Koenig Lois, previously worked on the U.S. Senate campaigns of Robert F. Kennedy and Jacob Javits. Lois was not immediately available for comment.

The Kucinich campaign is "moving ahead and preparing to create some TV spots and radio and hoping to get into production in the next two weeks," said a representative for the Democratic presidential hopeful.

3. Do you have
to contribute to view it? It is almost time for my contribution anyway but I just wondered since all I got was a black screen.

5. For Kucinich?
Nobody KNOWS Dennis Kucinich......how about an ad promoting...uh....Dennis Kucinich??? It's either a campaign for president or not. I like K and he deserves an ad OF HIS OWN.

7. It is for him
He's the anti-war/occupation canidate. No one else is!

Its a powerful ad, it will be remembered.

You can view the ad without paying for it. You may need a newer version of Flash to see it.

9. The ad
Says NOTHING about Dennis Kucinich. Zip. If you support Kucinich for president - give money that will help HIM. A lot of people support the sentiments of the ad -- but that doesn't mean they should be president. If the ad should be on TV as an "issue ad" then it should be on as such and NOT as a Dennis Kucinich campaign ad. That's just my opinion, but I would be VERY surprised if K's campaign people didn't feel the same. Opposing all that's in the ad does not translate into support for Dennis Kucinich. It just doesn't work that way.

11. You'll be supprised
since it's linked off of Kucinich.US

It does say something. It says Bush is the problem, and the final card at the end shows Kucinich. It gets his name out there AGAINST Bush.

It's an ad that doesn't say anythign bad about another Democrat. It's evokes emotion. It's a great AD!
