Know what a "Google bomb" is? Find out here, and beat Bush!
Lots of bloggers are getting together and starting a "Google bomb." Google is the famous search engine, and a "Google bomb" is a campaign that steers the results of keyword searches to desired outcomes. It's fun, and it's free.

In this case, DU friends, here's your Google bomb: unelectable.

That's right. Every post, every web site, everything Google might visit, repeat the message over and over: unelectable, unelectable, unelectable. Or even unelectable fraud. Unelectable candidate. Unelectable and corrupt. Any permutations you like. Just don't forget that Bush is 100% unelectable.

Got the message? Good. Now go Google bomb. And remember: George W. Bush is unelectable.

1. questions...
What exactly is Google looking for? Is it the fact that "unelectable" links to *'s biography? Does it matter how often those links are clicked? (I want to know whether it's worth my time to sit here clicking repeatedly on your links!)

2. I think it counts how many different people do it,
not how many times ONE person does it. So we need every DU'er to click the link, like once a day or so. I suggest we start putting this in our sigs, along with other words like "chimp" too.

14. Nobody ever has to click on it!
All that matters is that it is on a page that Google indexes.

Google has NO idea if any particular link on a page is EVER clicked on!

It also probably does not matter how many times it appears on that page, either. The Google fellows are smart enough to sort and trim a list of links to remove duplicates.

In fact, should it appear too often on a page, they are likely to dump the indexing of that page assuming correctly that it is an attempt to manipulate the index.

3. So basically, all we have to do is repeat the word
unelectable

when we post anything to the Net?

No linkage, no references--only

unelectable?

9. Can we use this in another fashion
Using an astroturf term against them .

Like "proven leadership" or something like that
to leads to someone on our side, once the primaries are over .

just another angle I think we should utilize .

What do think?

13. There's Plenty of Google Fun Available :-)
The sky's the limit, but right now there's one particular campaign afoot. More to come, I'm sure.
