2. This is not the type of thing you make an amendment for,
I really do think that it didnt work before, and it wont work now, the RW is too entrenched.

3. I voted for Constitutional Ammendment
because for 20 years the GOP has used the amendment
process to throw raw meat to their constituencies.
There was also a few times they actually got close.

Fairness is essential to democracy, and in this
day and age, media fairness is the only relevant
fairness.

We need this amendment so an unelected FCC can't
sell out democracy.

And, I would love to see the Dems trying to modernize
the Constitution be compared to the GOP trying to
return us to the Dark Ages.

Great idea.

4. So does that mean..
that if I WANT to listen to Pacifica Radio speaking about some righteous indignation over racism, warmongering and homophobery for twelve hours in a day, I HAVE to listen to Bob Grant, David Duke and Michael Savage spewing the exact opposite for another 12 friggin' hours? And if I want to suport KPFA with my donations if have to support the latter TOO!?!?!?! Frankly to keep things *fair* I would have to. NO way Jose.

The REAL target for fairness should be anti-media consolidation. And support the NEW start up of liberal radio and voices. If we can't do that, we are not listening to. We need MORE voices, not less.
