Poll question: With all the negativity...will you get in line behind our candidate
against Bush? I am a Dean supporter. But I would/will gladly support any Democrat against George W. Bush. I don't like what has happened to Democrats lately. Many people see Dean surging and they are on the attack. Harshest yet. When Gore endorsed him, they attacked Gore. I think in the end this will only come back to bite us in the ass. This whole "Dean can't win" argument, might become a self-fullfilling prophecy.

I can make arguments about why Dean can (and will) win. Why he does as well as anyone else.

The reason why this argument isn't working is because no other candidate does so much better that choosing him/her would guarantee victory, whereas nominating Dean won't.

Dean is doing just as well as any other Democratic candidate. So when you say, "Dean can't win," what you're actually saying is the "Democrats can't win." I don't like the argument without some evidence. Some polls show Dean doing worse against Bush. Others show him doing as well. Others show him doing better. That is what you should expect if everyone does about the same.

My rant over.

Now the question. Regardless of who wins the nomination, will you support the Democratic candidate against George W. Bush?

I will support the Dem. candidate, I don't care who it is.

3. Anyone who says Dean can't win ...
should listen to Jim Hightower. We will win if we go back to our true base ... We've drifted too far right and this Dean surge is a necessary leftward correction. Dean's campaign is modeled on Jimmy Carter's in '76 and will hopefully achieve the same results.

4. I'll put it this way...
if the Democratic Party put Mickey Mouse up against Bush, I'd be holding Mickey Mouse signs in November.

I'll vote for whoever the Democratic Party puts on the ticket. We need to get Bush out. That is most important.
