I support Clark on the Ticket
I would like to see him number 1, but I guess I could go along with him being the VP candidate.

Cheney is calling the shots right now as VP. Clark could do the same thing, but in a positive way.

1. Didn't Clark already say he was not interested in the VP slot?

4. Clark said that it was "not in the cards right not now."
He said, quite justifiably, that that's not what he's thinking about currently. The race is still very much on, and he's concentrating on trying to be the nominee.

On the other hand, I don't think that he has ruled categorically being VP, if someone else won and he was offered it.

5. As a candidate he has to say that
But he may come around if push comes to shove. I still see Clark winning the nomination once most Democrats come to their senses, but it's good to have a fallback plan.

2. I don't think that will work.
Clark is too smart to be in the back seat. He will be the President who is on top of everything.

3. Understood.
However, given the overall electorate, I believe Clark must be the presidential candidate.

Who would you like to see as Pres or VP with Clark?

Among the candidates, I see Edwards. I'm not in on others under consideration.

Of course, you'll remember when Bush hired Cheney to do a search for the best man for his VP...and Cheney recommends himself. Just priceless :puke:

12. Kerry?
Of the current candidates I could see a Clark\Kerry ticket working best wiwth Clark at the top. Kerry was an Lt. Gov here in MA for a while and knows how to work in the Senate (where the VP gets to break ties and represent the Pres). I am not sure Dean would accept being the VP and I Am not sure I would trust him to follow anyone elses lead. He is is his own man, which is a good thing, but not a good thing for a VP. I am not a big fan off Edwards since I found out he coauthored the Patriot Act and his single term in the Senate. Of course I wasn't happy with Kerry writing the Syria Accountablity Act either so I do not know.... how about ME! ;)

15. The other thing that is good about keery as VP
is that I can just about assure you that his spot will be filled by a democrat. No threat of a lost seat here. Even if Robme... er Romney were to run, his current "popularity" would be against him. If the plow drivers go on strike like it looks like the will, this state will never see another Republican Gov. :)

Perhaps we need Edwards more where he is, eh?

Thanks for the new insight!

18. Thanks
It also give geographical balance (AR/MA) and insider/outsider status to the ticket.

20. Edwards did not coauthor the Patriot Act
His wife wrote an explanation on his website. He had nothing to do with the Patriot Act. This is a rumor.

21. Ok I will look in to it
I will take your word for it and look in to it myself, but would have liked to have seen him defend himself on it during the debate when it came up if you are correct. As for Kerry the Syria Act is fact. I go that from a response from his senatorial office when I wrote them to ask them to vote against it. They gave me a lame ass excuse for writing the bill because Syria did not comply with Colin Powells demands. Syria has been a problem my entire life time (I am 28) and I do not see why he thinks it is a good idea to poke them with a stick now.

6. I would be ECSTATIC with Clark on the ticket.
I would prefer that Dean have the top slot, but could live with Clark in the top spot--no problem. :)

7. While I want him on top of the ticket
I could accept him as VP. Better yet, Secretary of State. For general election purposes though, on the ticket is probably best.

13. He'd be great
In either Defense or State. I think both Clark and Dean would need an experienced Congressional person or other Washington insider as VP. The other candidates who have served in nationally elected office have more leeway.

24. Clark said that if he gets into this, it'll be for the #1 spot &
nothing else.

He contemplated running for gov of Arkansas previously, and was probably going to do it, but for being drafted for this.

I expect he'll go back to plans to run for governor, and then re-run for Pres later, unless he's named Sec of Defense or something in Hillary's administration.

26. And he's one for one
When the regime brings out their pictures of Saddam--as you know they will--we can bring out pictures of Milosovic. Wes is one for one, toe to toe with junior when it comes to dictators captured. The fact that Clark actually had something to do with getting his guy, as opposed to junior who cuts cedar for his national photo-op nightmare, only adds to the side by side image.

And Clark didn't lose one American life while on the hunt.
