Bush is starting to shrivel under the pressure of the job.
(This is my imitation of the corporate media, in reverse, with the same type of negativity we hear every moment on cable television)
===================================================================
Yesterday, he made what some people consider an incredibly stupid comment about getting his "lawyer" for a question in international law, and in the process, made our allies even more angry with our country. Three years into the job and Mr. Bush still has a failing grade in diplomacy.

Although his speaking style has improved as he has learned to read the monitor, he is still alarmingly unaware of his own presence at times. His good ol' boy jokes and name-calling have worn thin after three years. His attacks on Al Gore look very petty compared to some of his stories before and after the Iraq War.

And the most disturbing development for Mr. Bush and the White House is the recent loss of support by many long-time Republicans. Although their inside polls tell them that Mr. Bush is getting somewhere between 41% and 43% of the vote nationwide against a Democratic opponent, they continue to put on a happy face amidst all the adversity. Their glass is never 3/4 empty - it is always 3/4 full. Their motto is to "accentuate the positive" as the roof caves in around them.

1. I wonder, what about his handlers?
They are presumably far more intelligent than he. They *know* what they have done, and how much the pressure on Junior might increase in the coming months (depending upon how much they can rein in the media). Will any of them crack, or are they just right for this game??

2. god I love the term "handlers" when applied to W
I have a friend who works with wildlife, and they do assorted things like take them in & out of their cages, feed them, let them roam around and get enrichment, clean up after them, etc...

they too are called "handlers"

5. actually their glass is 3/4 empty and they lie about it being 3/4 full
the whole house of cards is built upon a foundation of lies. Blatant lies at that. That will be it's downfall.

7. Good imitation kentuck. Bush is shriveling 'cause he's hollow.
And I wish the corporate media would occasionally imitate a real media.

(I thought Pugs *hated* lawyers...)

8. Oh! You mean my reporting was biased!
That is exactly the way I see almost all the reporting nowadays. They have been programmed well. If they don't say it, they show it in their body language or they will smile or laugh in agreement with a disparaging remark made by a trained right wing idealogue.

10. Too much time in the hallucinatron for aWol.
He seemed especially chipper today, justifying exclusive looting contracts. He's having a bright day at the beach, unaware of the desert storm.

Lala land is popping up around him.

And I had thought it would take the October/November 04 pressure cooker to snap his string.

to spin his many mistakes/blunders.

The suace gets heavy at night as the spin meisters go about their arduous task of repairing the damage Bush does almost daily. Bush gives "Danage Control" New Meaning, BY 9 PM the Handlers are tone deaf as the JD takes effect. Many of them are on Prozac. Turnover is high as many cannot handle the pressures/lies and get Burned out, quit. Because they are all suspicious of each other, no one can be sure of who is a mole and who is not... trust is a rare word in the WH Basement.

Remember Diogenes?? The guy who spends a lifetime with a lantern looking for "an Honest Man??"

Where is the Honest Pub in the WH.???

Come, we listen to Josh Groban

13. Or the job he made for himself...
The little cretin* has fucked up everything he's touched, it's that simple. How he hasn't cracked to date is nothing less than a miracle. A term I shouldn't use because it re-inforces the utterly asinine belief that God sent Bush into office to do all of the hideous things he's done!!!
