4. Attacking...
would make yourself look bad w/in your party and among the people, unless it's an attack against a republican, otherwise, I'm all for it!

6. I vote other- we neeed a little of both...

About 85 to 90% positive...Some or many of Bush's lies and failures need to be exposed- just so we can show a contrast.

Whoever said that Americans dont respond negative ads is just plain wrong. They work. The pukes kill us with all kinds of crazy accusations- they work every time, and we just sit back...

At their best, negative ads about Bush need only to tell the truth about his failures- they dont have to be offensive or too agressive...

8. Oh- my mistake- I vote "Positive" then...
...I just realized you meant positive or negative against fellow dems, not Bush....

7. Reagan called it his 11th commandment: "Thou shalt speak no
ill of another Republican." Worked for them. Bush v1.0 learned about the Willie Horton issue when Al Gore used it in the primaries against Duke.

10. What make me think that some voters are being dishonest?
or maybe the attackers are too busy attacking to vote?

11. I don't care...
As long as the attack is fair.

For example: if, say, a candidate voted to enslave children for Enron I would expect someone to attack him for it.

12. BOTH
All I want is a candidate who stands up to * and also stays positive. "IS THAT SO WRONG?" (thanks, Harvey Fierstein).

13. Attack
the repukes hard and continually. People claim they don't like attack ads but the facts show that attacks ad are effective.

14. I had to say Other
Stay positive but to add to your definition: "focus on issues, highlight differences between Dems and Repubs, and refrain from attacking fellow Dems". I'd add that instead of attacking respectfully point out your differences from the other candidates to strengthen why you believe you'd be a better choice.
