The FBI cover-up of the anthrax investigation

By Way of Deception: The FBI cover-up of the anthrax investigation
Jeremy R. Hammond June 4, 2003
http://www.yirmeyahureview.com/anthrax.htm
Excerpt:
Soon after the 9/11 attack, a long, typed anonymous letter was sent to Quantico Marine Base accusing the long-suffering Assaad, Zack's victim in 1991, of plotting terrorism. This letter was received before the anthrax letters or disease were reported. The timing of the note makes its author a serious suspect in the anthrax attacks. The sender also displayed considerable knowledge of Dr. Assaad, his work, his personal life and a remarkable premonition of the upcoming bioterrorism attack. After interviewing Assaad on Oct. 2, 2001, the FBI decided the letter was a hoax. While major newspapers noted that an anonymous letter had accused Dr. Assaad of bioterrorism, none followed up on it after his innocence was established. Zack's name never surfaced again as one of the 30 suspects. When the Washington Report asked Barbara Hatch Rosenberg, Ph.D., a biological arms control expert at the State University of New York, if the allegations regarding Dr. David Hatfill now took the heat off Lt. Col. Philip Zack, she replied, "Zack has NEVER been under suspicion as perpetrator of the anthrax attack.

It is hard to believe that, with his connection to Fort Detrick, Dr. Zack is not one of the 20 to 50 scientists under intense investigation.

Another person not naming names is New York Times reporter Nicholas D. Kristof. In a series of articles published on July 2, 12, and 19, however, he called the anthrax perpetrator "Mr. Z" (not "Mr. H"). Kristof's description of "Mr. Z" sounds very much more like Dr. Zack than Dr. Hatfill.

Is the anthrax culprit, or "Mr. Z," actually Dr. Zack or Dr. Hatfill, or another undisclosed scientist? Is Dr. Hatfill being framed while Dr. Zack stays out of the spotlight? Will the investigation simply peter out without an arrest? Are the US government and the media engaging in a shameful cover-up?...

important read - the implications are staggering.

If the FBI is so obviously covering up the anthrax attacks, what else are they covering up about 9-11?

The people of the US had better wake up before the Bush Regime decides they need to create more fear to ensure a strangle hold on control of the gov't.

3. If the FBI and Dept of Justice
had a green light, this case would have been closed over a year ago.
Some one higher up the chain of command has an agenda.

4. More proof that Kristof is one of the CIA's "media assets"
Kristof has been front and center among the "Liberal" media attacking the 9-11 conspiracy theories. With a blind faith in the integrity of the Bush regime that is alarming, Kristof and other so-called "liberals" (notably David Corn of the Nation) are bending over backwards to ignore awkward facts and unanswered questions.

That's how "they" win.

6. Another view:
1) The anthrax attacks targeted the US Democrat Senators who opposed Ashcroft's PATRIOT ACT:

October 2, 2001 (B): The "anti-terrorism" Patriot Act is introduced in Congress, but is not well received by all. One day later, Senate Majority Leader and future anthrax target Tom Daschle (D) says he doubts the Senate will take up this bill in the one week timetable the administration wants. As head of the Senate, Daschle has great power to block or slow passage of the bill. Attorney General Ashcroft accuses Senate Democrats of dragging their feet. On October 4, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman and future anthrax target Patrick Leahy (D) accuses the Bush administration of reneging on an agreement on the anti-terrorist bill. Leahy is in a key position to block or slow the bill. Some warn that "lawmakers are overlooking constitutional flaws in their rush to meet the administration's timetable." Two days later, Ashcroft complains about "the rather slow pace 'over his request for law enforcement powers' Hard feelings remain." The anthrax letters to Daschle and Leahy are sent out on October 9 and difficulties in passing the Act continue (see October 9, 2001).

2) The anthrax was from a US Army or defense contractor site, and the killer a trained scientist from the US (illegal) bioweapons program.

"This suggests that the anthrax was already in hand, and the attack largely planned, before Sept 11."Federation of American Scientists

3) The anthrax disruption of Congress allowed the US PATRIOT act to pass without it even being read!

"It's my understanding the bill wasn't printed before the vote - at least I couldn't get it. They played all kinds of games, kept the House in session all night, and it was a very complicated bill. Maybe a handful of staffers actually read it, but the bill definitely was not available to members before the vote."

4) Woolsey, Perle and Wolfowitz used anthrax from Iraq as a reason to attack Iraq. Perle supported the Anthrax-Iraq theory in the Daily Telegraph

But he (Perle) made clear that he believed there were "substantial and growing indications" that a state was behind the attacks. The milled, "weaponised" anthrax that virtually shut down Congress and killed two postal workers has increased his suspicions. --- http://911review.org/Wiki/AnthraxAttacks.shtml

8. exactly
the anthrax attacks were planned long before 9-11. they needed a 9-11 to make the anthrax attacks do theeir job of helping pass the patriot act, the patriot act was obviously ready to go - already written...

ERGO...

They also HAD TO KNOW about 9-11, as it was the key element in the planned series of events.
