The List of Who GORE Didn't Call Keeps Growing
It started the morning after the endorsement, with BEGALA on the IMUS show claiming that the supposed non-call to LIEBERMAN was a big betrayal.

Wingnuts POUNCED on this, Dan COULTER shedding these huge crocodile tears over Poor, Poor Joe and how RUDE Gore was. I think Laura INGRAHAM has done this jig, too. Not to mention Joe himself.

Tonight on the Capital Gang, Margaret CARLSON, who substituted for BEGALA on Crossfire, supposedly "on the Left" although not signing-off that way (she said, "From Washington") started it up again.

Then Al HUNT grew the list of people GORE didn't call, not only LIEBERMAN now, but adding Charlie RANGEL because Harlem is his district and Jean SHAHEEN because she had helped GORE tremendously in 2000.

I'm surprised Donna BRAZILE hasn't complained about not being called, but then her line is always busy with her phone buddy, ROVE.

(We know that Karinna has said GORE tried calling multiple times but LIEBERMAN wasn't available.)

2. rumor has it Lieberman knew about the endosement before the story broke…
supposedly he's putting on an act to gain sympathy… which appears to be working (based on the latest Newsweek poll & his better than usual fundraising this week)

8. That's it!
Gore told Lieberman that he was going to endorse Dean *even before Dean himself* heard about it. Lieberman then used his dial-up access to the Secret National American Pollsystem (aka "SNAP" - the centralized location for the cabal of evil pollsters who have infiltrated the American media) to do the rest!

10. They leave out the most important call Gore shouldn't have made...
...he shouldn't have called Bush on Nov 8th 2000...

That made Bush the "winner" and the recount fight then cast him as fighting the "winner". If he'd sat on his hands and not called... Gore owes none of these people a call. He's a private citizen, these whiners...what's their problem? Why SHOULD he have called them?

15. Begala worked for Rove's Media Man at PSI (Public Strategies Inc)
He and Mark McKinnon (Rove's guy) are best friends and former partners.

Begala is a slime and his sister was Gore's "media" person in 2000.

I do not trust them at all. I found this dirt on Begala when researching him after the McKinney drive by shooting on crossfire.

Begala basically advised Rove's advisor to work for Bush.

I got kicked off of democrats.com for raising hell about this and getting pissed when my threads were locked.

Begala, Lieberman, and the Clintons are all DLC insiders who wanted to dog Gore and now want to dog Dean. I suspect Clinton was outsmarted by Gore and he/she will kepp a low profile until the prtimaries are over while dogging Gore and Dean behind the scenes.

Stephanopolous is a media pimp of the worst sort - a total self promoter and insider whose boss is spreading the other big lies about Dean in Iowa.

Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 09:05 PM by zidzi
begala was ..when I heard he was the one who advised Gore to "Roll his eyes" and "Sigh" when bush said something in the debate.

It was suppose to be Tom Downey who coached Gore in the debate but he had to recuse himself when tapes of the bush practice debates were sent to him. Very fishy..that.

22. Begala was on Imus?
Sweet Jesus! I hate that god damn Imus, and anyone that even goes near that show is on my shit list forever. Margaret Carlson substituted for Begala on Crossfire? Why didn't they get Ann Colter or Laura Ingram, or at least Susan Estrich. I quit watching Crossfire, haven't missed it, and won't be watching it in the future.
I was once a real Clinton fan, but slowly but surely I am souring on Bill and Hill and all their myraid of followers. I watched Hillary on Meet the Press and thought she did all right, but she said nothing worth hearing really. After it was over, I wondered just what the hell was the reason for her appearing on all three network shows. I have never come up with an answer.
I thought Al Gore was within his rights to endorse Governor Dean. He is not a power in the DLC, the DNC or any other Democratic organization. Al Gore represents nothing more than his own vote. To try to pretend that he is something of a power in the party is like saying Jimmy Carter is a power in the same organizations, or maybe even saying Zell Miller is.
I confess to being a Dean supporter and have been for more than 2 years. I am going to enjoy coming events. I think Governor Dean is going win going away, that will taste like shit to a lot of hungry beltway insiders, including the Clinton camp.

23. I wondered why I always thought of him as total slime. Factoids 4 you
gut-feeling. Thanks for that information.

Little factoid for you Stephanopolous was the Administrative Assistant and later Chief of Staff of Edward F. Feighan, the guy who produced that despicable Anti-Dean/Osama video.

Edward F. Feighan was Bill Clinton's campaign Communications Director who got pretty close to Hillary at the Institute for Policy Studies
http://www.ips-dc.org/index.htm

It was Edward F. Feighan who introduced the Brady Bill in the House in 1987 as the NRA campaigned heavily against the gun control issue. http://www.saf.org/LawReviews/Aborn1.html

George Stephanopoulos was his Administrative Assistant and later his Chief of Staff.

25. Gore has a bit of a history....
As not being the most "likeable" guy in the Senate. Becuase of things like this, in part. It's the type of thing rethugs love to jump on and play up, especially with Gore. It proves he "has no character" and is "sneaky" or "deceitful" or something... Really, it just proves that maybe he isn't as nice a guy as he seems. Who is?

This was used as a reason why his collegues didn't rush down to Florida in his defense in 2000. If that is true, then any of them that used such a stupid, petty excuse to allow the election to be stolen should be shot. I don't give a shit if he didn't come to your kid's birthday party, this was about our fucking democracy at stake.

27. Wit-cha, & Tweety's "Who-you-want-to-have-a-beer-with"
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 10:29 PM by UTUSN
is crap, too. Tweety has used this line, that people LIKE Shrub 'cause they think he would be a regular guy over a beer, between the times Tweety tries comparing Shrub to CHURCHILL or LINCOLN or JFK---------arghhhh, Tweety Tweety Tweety, am getting going now.

To the poster above who was surprised that BEGALA was on the IMUS circus, yes, but then just about all "players" go there and I've often wondered why: G.E. RUSSERT, Tweety, FRIEDMAN, Congressman FORD (IMUS wants him to run for senator), FINEMAN, David GREGORY, Nora O'DONNELL--------and yes, BIDEN, LIEBERMAN, and my man KERRY (no snarfing here, please). IMUS is totally disgusting in every way.

26. It has to do with
common courtesy. I don't care for Joe, was pretty disgusted when Gore named him as his running mate but Gore should have, even if through an aide, showed the man some common courtesy.

Thats what's missing in our country and at DU....common courtesy.

29. Shortened list of more people Gore didn't call...

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan Mcnabb
Comedian Carrot Top
Elvis Jones Podiatrist Grand Rapids, MI
Jim Reynolds, Mechanic/Head Chef - Quaker Steak and Lube Sheffield, OH
Judy Wilcox, 13-yr old straight-C student, St Mary's School for Girls
Las Cruces NM

and the list goes on and on... Quick, somebody alert Drudge, this story needs to go out a soon as possible.

I can understand the others, but I will never forgive Gore for not calling Carrot Top, for god sakes.
