So do you guys remember the last election?
You know the one where we lost the house? I remember so much candidate bashing back then that Skinner had to stop it up to the day of the election. Anyone who bashed a Democratic candidate was persona non grata. After the shock of losing was over, we came back with our tails between our legs sober and quiet.

So this is just a little reminder that there is a lot of work to do to be sure that BFEE is kicked out of the White House and hopefully Congress. Wasting energy on beating down our own side can't be good. So if you have genuine concerns about a candidate please make sure you have researched the rumors first and have proof and references before you start spreading those rumors. Also, taking words out of the context that they were said is not very sporting either.

I don't want to come back November 5, 2004 knowing that Bush will be President for another four years. We need to focus that energy into getting him out of our government for good.

2. Well put!
Let's stop this divisiveness before we eat each other up.

4. Thank you!
I was so sure we would win in 2002. I remember and know we have to stop the fighting and just support the candidates.

Thanks Cleita

5. The GOP won in 2002 because
everyone was still in 9/11/01 intoxication.

Now is the hangover, and people are becoming skeptical.

2004 will be different. People are starting to open their eyes.

6. I think you meant the Senate
We lost the house in 1994. But yes, I remember and it was not so much the bashing of our candidates but the negative waves we were sending to the electorate. There has to be a better way.

7. I remember it all too well.
I keep an election map in my office on the wall. The states were labeled according to who held which Senate seat, etc. I had identified 5 key races and come to the conclusion that we needed to win two to keep the Senate.. just a measley two.. and yet we didn't.

I went to bed quite drunk and depressed that night. Not a good memory. And I still think the Iraq war was primarily done as a midterm election distraction and long-term profiteering.

8. Don't forget...
The Repukes whipped our ass in Get Out The Vote efforts...if we had approached our base the same way the Reps. did for theirs, we'd have won bigtime.
