Internet Constitution: Something else for Bush to trash?
I'd much rather the United Nations draft an Internet Constitution than the Republicans:

1. Would they make sites like this illegal?
Those crooks in Congress would probably have some 3:00 AM
vote and included in the legislation would be some words to the effect that anything bad said about the Bushites would be considered terrorism or hate speech. With people like Bill Thomas making laws and John Asscroft inforcing them, can you imagine what an internet bill would would do to free speech?

Of course, if they later lost the White House and control of Congress, they would have a special session and change the law to fit their special "free speech" needs when the new year rolled around.

The day the Saudis or the Chinese or the Americans try to impose their morality on what I can see online is the day that I will welcome none from these countries who are not refugees into Canada.

As far as I'm concerned, only the following countries are welcome to draft such a constitution:

Canada
Sweden
Finland
Norway
Japan
The Netherlands
Belgium
Denmark
Slovakia

No other countries have have been committed enough to a level of liberalism that excluded needless censorship.
