What was the story about Saddam trying to make a deal before the war started. A good point may be made that it didn't take 451+ American deaths and thousands of Iraqi deaths to capture Saddam.

What the chimpster will say is that this war was about capturing Saddam when in reality it is a war of imperialism and American children will still be required to give their lives in support of right wing wars.

If this war was about Saddam then bring the troops home now! If not than we need to show that the war is not about Saddam.

Let us hope and pray that all the evil doers like him get the same justice. All abusers of power and money should get to live in a hell hole like the one they are showing us that the Saddam thing lived in. We should all be afraid to be evil like that. It made me ill to hear Sanchez declare he had been taken "without a shot" when so many have died (455 per CNN casualties list) and thousands of others are maimed to get him. I'm sure we'll hear plenty of freeper comments minimizing it as though it is no big deal.

All of those little children, waiting for daddy (or mommy) to come home are going to think they'll be on their way and home for Christmas, when nothing could be further from the truth.

I'm glad the ruthless dictator is gone. And I'm glad it is now and not October of next year.

right. The media will have a heyday with this. I don't think we heard from the media much about Sadamm willing to give himself up before the war. Unless I am mistaken the media are now our major enemy, if not before.

US gave Hussein family 48 hours to surrender before the first bombs fell.

Instead of surrendering they mouthed off somthing like Bush's family needing to leave Crawford.

Now 2 are dead and one has a head full of lice.

They were given the opportunity to surrender but they scoffed and the rest is history.

A huge good thing about the way Saddam was taken is that he didn't put up a fight, didn't commit suicide, and seems to be cooperating with his captors. This will drive a stake in the heart of most of the hard core resistence by his supporters. After all, he didn't even put up the fight the Uday and Qusay did. Thus, he is shamed before his supporters.

But it ain't over yet. Just heard that Musharaff just missed being involved in an explosion.
